12 Binge Worthy Shows To Catch On Netflix
College Humor

As a semi-professional procrastinator, I clock a lot of hours on Netflix. I would even venture to consider myself a Netflix connoisseur. For anyone looking for a new show to get into while avoiding responsibilities, I present to you: 12 binge-worthy shows available on Netflix!

1. Gossip Girl

So, I may or may not have watched the whole series three times over... There's just something about the antics of the Upper East Siders that keeps me coming back for more. Could be the drama, the outfits, the society, or it could just be Chuck Bass.

2. Hell on Wheels

"Hell on Wheels" is great. It follows Cullen Bohannon, a former farmer and confederate soldier as he aims to help drive the railroad out west. Of course, it's not as easy as it sounds... The wild west was not always a forgiving place.

3. Orange is the New Black

So much shady business, drama, and illegal activity in one show. One of my favorite parts of this series is the individual character development they focus on from time to time. It's cool to see how the inmates got there.

4. Buffy the Vampire Slayer

If you're in the mood for a throwback from the late '90s/early 2000s, this is a good show for you. The effects are laughable at times, but it's an overall enjoyable show. It was pretty edgy in its day, but a lot of messages are still relevant.

5. Peaky Blinders

This one is centered around the Shelby family who ran a gang in early 1900s England. It's chock full of crime, blackmail, and shenanigans. The family leader, Tommy, is a total crime boss.

6. American Horror Story

The anthology aspect definitely keeps things interesting, especially since (**minor spoiler**) all the seasons occur in the same timeline. Talk about a seriously killer cast, Jessica Lange will always be da queen.

7. Bones

Bones and Booth are the ultimate dynamic duo. She's the brains; he's the brawn. It get's a little gory at times, but there is so much humor and so many antics.

8. Sons of Anarchy

So, this is definitely not for young, impressionable people or the faint of heart. It gets really dark, really gory, really sexual, and at some points, really uncomfortable. But don't let that steer you away, it's so intense that you get hooked almost immediately.

9. The 100

"The 100" is a really good post-apocalyptic future fic. There's nothing like the human race rediscovering Earth after a past nuclear disaster. Spoiler: They're not alone...

10. Gilmore Girls

"Gilmore Girls" is easily in the running for my favorite show. Everybody wants a mom as cool as like Lorelai Gilmore to be their partner for endless crazy antics. Plus, it's fun to argue and debate who the best and worst men were in the Gilmore women's lives.

11. Parks and Recreation

There are two kinds of people in the world: the Leslie Knopes and the April Ludgates. Also, Ron Swanson is the GOAT.

12. Criminal Minds

This is probably my favorite investigative show. I just like how deep they dig into behavior analysis to find the perp. It's so easy to get caught up in trying to figure out who the criminal is and how the FBI is going to catch them.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
