So election season is just around the corner and I have to say that I'm not exactly stoked with the choices we have for president. Considering this is the first presidential election I'll ever be able to vote in, I'm a bit disappointed. Neither of the candidates are focusing on the issues that I hold near and dear to my heart.

I just can't see myself getting 100 percent behind any of them.

That being said, as an animal lover, I can't help but imagine how the campaign trail would be with some cute animal friends up on the podium. Imagining a little dog addressing the nation or a patriotic parrot sitting behind the desk in the oval office just amuses me. So, without further ado, here are some animals I wouldn't mind seeing run for president!

1. This All-American caped crusader Corgi!

2. This owl who wants YOU to vote for him!

3. This squirrel who respects the flag!

4. This hedgehog who is ready to throw her hat in the ring!

5. This little kitten who's got a lot to give to our country!

6. This dolphin who loves the good ole' USA!

7. This anteater reppin' the United States in his awesome hoodie!

8. This Betta fish who is decked out in red, white, and blue!

9. This black beauty who was born in the USA!

10. This adorable duo who are ready to step up and take charge!

11. This Guniea Pig who promises to defend our freedom!

12. Finally, this bald eagle who is pretty bad ass if I do say so myself!

Well there you have it! Maybe if we show these furry, feathery, and scaly candidates some support, they might be able to run in 4 years! I guess we'll see.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
