11 Youtubers You Must Subscribe To
Tyler Oakley

The YouTube community and #TeamInternet is expanding more and more every day. More people are making their own YouTube accounts and racking up subscribers or joining the community by subscribing to popular YouTubers. I can tell you that I’m addicted to YouTube and YouTube celebrities have consumed my life. I’m more into their lives and drama than celebrities on TV. Here are a couple of YouTubers (that you may or may not recognize) you should check out if you’re new to the YouTube world!

1. Tyler Oakley

Tyler Oakley is one of the most popular YouTubers today. His videos are hilarious not just because of his loud and silly personality, but also due to his distinct and famous witch laugh that makes you want to cry laughing too. He’s an LGBT+ activist and works with the Trevor Project to help suicidal LGBT youth.

2. Rosanna Pansino

Rosanna Pansino’s channel is called "NerdyNummies." It’s all about her baking video game themed goods that look absolutely delicious and fairly simple to make. She tries to make the tutorials easy enough for viewers to recreate her yummy desserts. I definitely recommend her channel because she’s extra cute, funny and I mean who doesn’t like themed desserts??

3. Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying

"Superfruit" is probably my favorite channel right now. Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying are absolutely hilarious and entertaining. They’re two out of five members of an incredibly in-sync, Grammy award-winning Cappella group named "Pentatonix." Mitch and Scott are best friends, and their friendship makes us feel we’re a part of their friendship, too. They talk about what’s popular at the moment and bring viewers in with duets, collabs and beautiful on-key goodbye’s sung at the end of each video.

4. Mykie

"Glam&Gore" is run by a girl named Mykie from LA. It’s exactly what the title of the channel makes it seem. She does makeup looks that consist of awesomely gory, gross and horrifying looks inspired by movies, television and video games. I’m telling you, this channel is different in the best way.

5. Mamrie Hart

Mamrie Hart has two channels, but her most popular one is made of "YDAD" videos. YDAD stands for "You Deserve a Drink," and this is where Mamrie makes alcohol mixed drinks for famous people she think deserve them. While she shows you how to make these drinks, she makes terrible puns that combine the drink, the person and whatever it is they do. If you love puns, and you love people who can easily laugh at themselves, she’s your girl.

6. Ingrid Nilsen

Ingrid Nilsen is a makeup and style guru who many people easily recognize. She’s pretty, funny and also loves puns. (She’s friends with Mamrie so it makes sense.) From classic makeup looks to funky ones like Sadness from "Inside Out," her videos are helpful and easy to follow.

7. Dashie

Dashie is a hilarious, wild gamer who you have to subscribe to. I swear he may scare you a bit at first, but you’ll learn to love his yelps and random remarks. Dash plays a variety of video games ranging from Mario Party to Wick (a game kind of like Slenderman except little children kill you.)

8. Sarah Close

Sarah Close is by far my favorite musician right now. She’s a 20-year-old British musician who studied songwriting for a period of time but left school to focus on her musical career. She’s set on releasing her original music this year (which I’m dying for), but for now, she posts incredible covers of songs requested by viewers.

9. Diana Curmei

Diana Curmei is another beauty guru who consistently makes stunning looks with no talking. She sometimes has videos where she explains the look throughout the tutorial, but mostly her videos just show her makeup and her outfits.

10. Rhett and Link

Rhett and Link run the channel "Good Mythical Morning." They do popular and unpopular challenge videos just to entertain their subscribers. They’re totally worth subscribing to because of how entertaining and random their videos are.

11. Joe Santagato

Joe Santagato is a comedian who’s making his way up on the YouTube popularity page. He makes fun of current events in the media or just people and circumstances to which everyone can relate.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
