As a proud book snob, I have been known to write down every quote from the books that I’ve read that are so incredibly worded, you cannot help but feel something when you read them. One of the best things about reading is escaping into a world other than your own, but still finding great comfort in how relatable the stories may be to your actual life. Some authors have a way with words that put everything that you feel, but don’t know how to explain into words and perfectly scripted sentences. Here are 11 book quotes that I’ve come across over the years that have really resonated with me.
1. “You can be noble, brave, and beautiful and still find yourself falling.”
("Love Letters to the Dead" by Ava Dellaira)

("Yes Please" by Amy Poehler)
3. “It does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that.”
("Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone" by J.K. Rowling)
4. “Maybe the courage I need has nothing to do with telling the truth and everything to do with walking away.”
("The Girl on the Train" by Paula Hawkins)

("Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher)
6. "The only lies for which we are truly punished are those we tell ourselves."
("In a Free State" by V.S. Naipaul)
7. “Why didn't I learn to treat everything like it was the last time? My greatest regret was how much I believed in the future.”
("ExtremelyLoud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer)
8. “The only way out of the labyrinth of suffering is to forgive.”
