Having a sibling can be one of the best and worst things. They can make your life better, but at times they can also make it worse. Now if you have a twin, you can multiply those feelings by 10. It's no secret that twins have a different bond than other siblings. That's bound to happen when you spend 9 months in one cramped space with someone. So whether you have a fraternal or identical twin, here are things you and your twin have probably heard.
1. "Wait you have a twin?"
My mother can assure you that there were in fact two of us. So yes, I do have a twin.
2. "So which one of you is older?"
Your parents need to inform you about this at an early age because it's the first thing you'll hear when people find out you have a twin.
3. "Do you have a secret twin sense?"
You can hit my twin all you want, but I'm not going to feel it.
4. "Are you identical?"
I have a twin brother and people ask us this all the time. This is a question people could answer for themselves if they just used their eyes.
5. "Do you guys ever wear matching clothes?"
Seeing as we're two different people and are no longer being dressed by our parents...no.
6. " Why aren't you as good at this as your twin?"
Just like you and your regular sibling have different skills, we have different skills also.
7. " Do you guys get along well?"
Again people, we're just like regular siblings except we were born at the same time. So yes sometimes we do and sometimes we don't.
8. " Do you ever finish each other's sentences?"
Seeings as this isn't a movie, no.
9. "Why isn't your brother here today?"
I don't always know what he's doing just because we shared a womb! But yes I will take his homework to him.
10. " Should I bring a card for your twin too?"
If you ever had a joint party with your twin you have for sure heard this.
11. " Would you say that he's your evil twin? LOL!"
Depending on the day you ask you could get very different answers.
Like I said, being a twin is pretty cool. If you have a twin of the opposite sex and they have hot friends that's always a plus! Chances are you've heard the above questions more than once in your life. And I hate to break it to you, but you're going to keep hearing them for as long as you live. So you'd better start thinking of some creative answers now!
