It's that time of the year, when all of your professors decide to give midterms. In the middle of all the study hours, the countless all-nighters, and dreaded nights at the PCL, you lose track of everything else. You're too focused on cramming and studying, which is not your best option. Here are 11 tips for surviving the midterms season.
1. Caffeine is your friend. However, too much can hurt you and make it harder to concentrate.

2. Take study breaks. Everyone forgets to take breaks. Try taking about 15 minutes for every hour and a half or two hours of studying.
3. Don't forget to eat. Don't skip meals, and try eating healthy snacks that will help you stay awake.

4. Sometimes, silence is better. Being in a quiet environment away from people can help you get more done.
5. Do not procrastinate. Trying to cram half a semester of information in the few hours or day before will stress you out, and you might not get the grade you want.

6. Reward yourself. Whether it is during your study session (by taking breaks, having snacks after reaching a certain point) or by going out after your midterm, incentives are good.

7. Studying doesn't have to be boring. Find new ways of studying and have fun at the same time! You can also do this by rewarding yourself with treats.
8. Sleep! One of the most important things you need to do is to sleep at least around seven hours. Without enough sleep, you won't be as productive.

9. Try studying in different places. For example, if you always study at the PCL, maybe try studying at the Union or FAC.
10. Stay off of social media. Download temporary site blocking ads to minimize distractions.

11. Relax. Exam day is finally here so don't try to cram and be stress-free.
