So you're about to be on summer vacation. Here are eleven thoughts that you might have leading up to that:

1. Finals Week!

The finish line is in sight and you can see the promised land right in front of you.

2. When School Is Finally Over

Tests are done, books are closed shut, and it is FINALLY summer vacation!

3. Reuniting With Friends From Home

It's been months (maybe even years) since you have seen your old friends and you're just so darn excited!

4. And You Honestly Are Having The Time Of Your Life

Because fun is the only option, right?!

5. Then You Crash

Suddenly the boredom hits, leaving you extremely frustrated.

6. And You Regret Not Taking THAT Job

Maybe you picked the wrong summer job or internship. Maybe you decided to not take one up at all. Either way, part of you is regretting it.

7. You Start Missing All Of Your College Friends

You start remembering all the good times you had with your friends during the year and think "well, I kinda want that again..."

8. Loneliness.

You realize that all your friends on the semester system are back at school while you’re stuck, alone, for another month.

9. Mandatory Fun

You still feel the need to make the most out of the tediously long summer, even if it is starting to feel like a drag.

10. Finally School Is About To Start Again

Books are bought, bags are packed, and you can't be any happier to finally go back to school!

11. And Then A Week Into The New School Year...

...You're back where you started.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
