11 Thoughts Every Students Has In Class.

If there is one thing that college students have in common it's the thoughts they have during class. Those lectures have you daydreaming and thinking about a lot of serious questions, like can I graduate already? Or I wonder how bad in debt i'll be because of this place? The struggle is real.

1. When am I ever going to get out of here?

Class seems like it lasts for an eternity. You think that 30 minutes has gone by but then you look at the clock and it’s only been two minutes. Then you start trying to break up the time in parts to make it a little easier. “If class is 50 minutes I can survive 10 minute sections five times.” But we all know that makes it harder.

2. Please get me out of this room with these people

We all have those people that either annoy us or rub us the wrong way. You have your know-it-all, a chatty Kathy who doesn’t know when to stop talking, a whiner and a gum chewer is chewing as loud as they possibly can. This torment makes you feel like you’re never going to get out alive.

3. I won’t need to take notes for this

Too much writing on the chalkboard or power point slides is overwhelming. You get a little too confident in yourself and think you can remember little details in class until you get to a test or quiz and think to yourself, “crap, I really should’ve wrote that down.”

4. I thought this class was going to be easy

Everyone that you talked to before told you that the class was going to be a piece of cake, but you are starting to question them.

5. I don’t even understand what I am learning

The professor has been lecturing for an hour and 30 minutes and then asks if there are any questions. “Yes, can you repeat everything you said at the beginning of class and explain it again?“ But you don't want to ask questions because you think you’re the only one who doesn’t understand.

6. Do I really need this class ?

You’re in a class that has nothing to do with your major and you’re just thinking of all the things you could be doing instead.

7. Did the professor ever talk about this?

The professor brings up random topics and points that you’ve never heard of. You swear that those bits of information were never gone over in class, but the professor insists they did (we know they're lyin).

8. What will I eat later on today?

Class is the one place where hunger takes over and once you think of food, there is no way you can’t stop thinking about it for the rest of the class. You start to think of buffet of foods that you could be consuming right now but you can’t because you’re in class. That’s when you get hangry.

9. Planning out time in the day when you can get a nap

Being a college student, you don’t get that much sleep so the thought of a 30 minute nap always sounds fantastic. Sometimes it gets so desperate we begin putting in our planners when we have time to squeeze in a nap whether that be on the desk or floor in between your next class.

10. I hate school

The thought of waking up in the morning for your classes repulses you. But then you ask yourself what you would be doing with your life if you weren't in school? The options look slim.

11. Can Friday get here already?

It’s only Monday and you’re calling it a quits already. The struggle is so real and you can’t wait to have a break to recuperate before doing it all over again. #TGIF

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
