I'm loud and I'm proud about the fact that I'm a book lover. But you know what I don't like that acts loud? People who think it's okay to interrupt me while I'm having a moment with my book.
Sure, I get it. To those of you who aren't avid readers, you may not see anything wrong with taking this specific moment to sit down and strike up a conversation. But don't worry, it's not like my mind isn't in a totally different world or anything. Please continue; no need to give me a minute or so to finish up this chapter, or at least this sentence.
I mean, I'm not unreasonable; I get that some conversations are urgent and can't wait, especially if they're important ones. But I love my book time. So if you see me or any other fellow book lover with our noses pressed between the pages and a faraway look in our eyes, just let us do our thing. We'll return to reality in due time...or maybe not. But that's our choice, not yours.
