Your first years of college can bring some crazy times. Adjusting to a new school, new surroundings and new people can be stressful. Your roommate is there by your side for a lot of these interesting situations. Here are a few instances that make me so thankful for my first college roommate.
1. Listening to my rants when things get stressful
Whether it is complaining about a teacher, midterms or lack of money, your roommate is always there to listen and let you know they are right there beside you with the same struggles.
2. Listening to my gossip at any time
Coming home at the end of the day and sharing your stories is one of the best feelings in the world.
3. Letting me borrow your clothes (mostly when it's laundry day)
4. Eating pizza with me when I order Dominos at 1 a.m.
Need I say more? When you're studying past midnight, and you need some food, your roommate won't hesitate to scarf down some pizza with you.
5. Avoiding all our responsibilities together
Sometimes Netflix just calls at the wrong time, like when you have a huge essay due next week that you really don't feel compelled to start.
6. This usually happens from watching too many YouTube videos
Too often, you guys will end up on the weird side of YouTube. You could spend hours clicking new videos and laughing.
7. Having random dance parties
How can you get through the week without a dance party in your room? Thank you, Spotify!
8. Cheering me up on those bad days
9. Writing me nice notes to show you are
10. Never judging me for any dumb decisions
Your roommate accepts you for who you are, no matter if you are stressed, exhausted, energetic or happy.
11. Loving me unconditionally
Whether you realize it or not, your roommate has become your best friend. Thank your roommate for being there, because you can get yourself in some crazy situations sometimes.
