Have you ever found yourself insanely bored on a beautiful summer day? Struggling to come up with your own ideas of how to solve your boredom? Never fear, Odyssey writers are here! I've put together a list of eleven, that's right ELEVEN things you could possibly do to cure your boredom! You can do all of these alone or with a friend. Some are even wallet-friendly.
1. Go on a hike.
No money required if you have the right clothing and shoes. All you need is a mountain and you're set.
2. Treat yourself or some friends to a lunch date.
Doesn't have to be lavish or fancy! You can spend quality time with good friends and good food, what could be better?
3. Go shopping.
This one's on you how how inexpensive or expensive you back. You can either treat yourself or just browse and get necessities. I personally have no control whatsoever, so I try to avoid this option if I can.
4. Go swimming.
You don't need to own your own pool to do this. Whether you're a member at your local swimming pool or even live nearby a lake or river, this totally a fun way to spend a hot summer day. I do advise that if you're going swimming in a lake or a river who's current strength you are unfamiliar with, make sure you have some accompanying you at all times.
5. Tan.
Why waste your money on a tanning salon when you can do the same thing for free in your own yard?
6. Read a book outside.
It's a super peaceful way to spend your day and transport yourself to a world that's not your own.
7. Go for a long drive with no destination.
Who knows where you'll end up?
8. Exercise outside.
Like yoga? Take your mat to the grass. Go for a run or walk. Get on up on your feet!
9. Go on a picnic.
Pack your favorite lunch, grab some friends, and head out to your local public park for a nice meal outside.
10. Take a day to go to an amusement park.
This one will cost you a good bit, but who doesn't love rollercoasters and other thrill rides?
11. Just binge watch Netflix all day.
If you have no desire to leave your bed or don't enjoy the outdoors, you can always count on Netflix for entertainment.
