As an introvert, you likely don't know how many of us are really out there. However, you've likely experienced the following.
1. You only have so much "social energy."
Similar to your phones battery, you only have so much socializing you can do before you're drained. Several nights out, or several big events in a row, are very hard for you.
2. You need alone time to recharge.
After a night out, you need some alone time to recharge that "social energy". You need some time laying in bed watching Netflix in your pajamas, to decompress and relax.
3. You keep it balanced.
Between going out, and your need to recharge you're really good at keeping a healthy balance of social interaction and alone time.
4. Big crowds make you anxious.
Being around lots of people can definitely cause you anxiety, even if it's just a group of people passing by while walking to class.
5. Sometimes, you contemplate canceling plans.
As much as you love hanging out with your friends, sometimes you just aren't sure you want to go out. You contemplate canceling the plan or secretly hope something will come up and they will have to cancel.
6. You always think before you speak.
You're always mulling in your own head. You have to think out everything you say, not only because you want it to be meaningful, but sometimes, it takes you longer to process things.
7. Writing is easier than talking.
Composing your thoughts to people can be kind of scary, but writing them isn't so much of a problem. You probably have a blog, or even just a note pad where you write your thoughts.
8. You prefer meaningful conversation.
Small talk is not your forte. You're much more for meaningful conversation with one or a few people.
9. Talking on the phone isn't your favorite.
Calling to schedule an appointment or order a pizza is no walk in the park. This could stem from your dislike of small talk or maybe because you can't see how the other person is reacting to what you're saying.
10. You've been told you're a good listener.
You take in what people say and listen very intently. You've been told many times you're a good listener.
11. You usually wear headphones when walking places.
You love to listen to music while walking to class or even at the gym. There's a good chance you're just taking in your surroundings and enjoying thinking, or you're just trying to avoid talking to people.
