11 Things That A Girl Never Wants To Hear

I'm just poking fun at things that make most of us irritated.

11 Things That A Girl Never Wants To Hear

I was sitting in our campus dining hall with my friends and we started talking about the things that we hate hearing the most. We laughed and the conversation lasted a while. As girls, I guess there really just are some things that we hate hearing. Here you will find a list of some of them, but certainly not all of them.

1." My momma don't like you, and she likes everyone."

If their mom doesn't like you, nothing is going to be good for you. Break up now.

2. "Yes, I do think she is prettier than you."

Really? Well, that's too bad.

3. "I told him you liked him."

4. "You should wear makeup more often."

Don't say that.

5. "Yes, that does make you look fat."

Yes, those words do make you sound dumb.

6. "Are you really gonna wear that?"

No, I'm just completely dressed up the best that I can be and I am not going to wear it. I'm just playing dress up, don't mind me.

7. "OMG! She's wearing the same prom dress as you!"

Cue the unsaid, unneeded Instagram war that will ensue to see who wore it better.

8. Your best friend says:

When it rains, it pours.

9. Cat Calls

I hope you can see that I do not approve and it is not a compliment.

10. "You bled through."

There are no PG captions for what goes through your mind when this happens.

11. "I'm sorry, we are out of Pumpkin Spice Lattes."

(Or your favoritecoffee.)

I'm going to be over here in the corner, bawling my eyes out. It's really fine.

There are other things that girls hate to hear, I'm certain. The other thing that I'm certain of is that most of us have had a crying fit just like Regina George at some point in our lives and that's OK.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
