Winter days can be excruciatingly long, but once March begins to preview the sunny spring days ahead, everybody experiences these spring fever symptoms.
1. The urge to be active
The beginning of spring reminds us that there is a sun after all, but with this knowledge, comes the reminder that our bulky sweaters and scarves will soon be traded in for bathing suits and tank tops. Technically the new year rung in a couple of months ago, but January and February were trial months, right?
2. The need to drive with the windows down
It's been a long time since we've been able to roll down our windows without getting pelted by snowflakes, so we're going to take advantage.
3. Sudden bursts of productivity
Spring cleaning isn't just an expression; it's a March ritual. As mentioned above, January and February were trial months, so now is the perfect time to get organized.
4. The new love for all-things nature
Who knew there was grass under the snow this whole time? Also, have you ever seen a color more beautiful than green?
5. The inclination to pick up some new hobbies
We all want to get outside, so why not make an excuse to do so? Maybe you were never a big reader or writer, but now that you can do it on a picnic bench in the great outdoors, maybe you'll give it a try.
6. The reconstruction of your wardrobe
We're finally going to need some lighter attire to replace our intense snow gear!
7. Claustrophobia caused by the indoors
Working or going to school inside feels like torture. Looking out a window just reminds you of the freedom that you can only beg for.
8. The serious addiction to sunlight
It doesn't matter who you are; in the spring, you become the sun's needy girlfriend.
9. Random spurs of kindness
Something about that sunshine makes us all a little less irritable.
10. The inability to focus on “real work”
After spending months trapped inside, why should we be doing anything less than having fun?
11. And finally, the intense longing for summer
This one is pretty self-explanatory. Hang in there all of you warm-weather lovers; we'll be there soon.
