The 11 Stages Of Watching Your Favorite MLB Team Fall Behind

It happens sometimes. A team can't possibly win its division every year. However, this cruel understanding does little for a fan's emotional stability watching their favorite MLB team fall behind. We are a month into baseball season, and the standings are starting to get set. This is how it plays out in a fan's head.

1. April 1st hits and you're so excited for your team to pick up where it left off last season.

2. You watch the first couple of games and their record isn't starting off well. But its fine they have time its only been a week.

3. Then they start to win a couple games and everything seems okay.

4. But then they get sweeped in the next series...

5. And you're starting to stress...

6. You might even take it out on some innocent bystanders.

7. You try not to worry because you realize you can't do anything about it.

8. But you feel like you have an obligation that you have to fight for your team.

9. Eventually they get so far behind that you wonder if they are in little league.

10. You hit a point where you just want to give up on your team and baseball in general.

11. But you know you can't do that because the good times are so good and there's no team like yours.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
