Halloweekend is upon us all, and whether it's a two-day or five-day event, the stress is real. Between the costumes and candy, it's easy to be overwhelmed. Are you going as a sweet angel or maybe a devil? With the ability to be whoever you want to be, the possibilities are endless. So here's to a Halloweekend to remember... or not.

1. Realizing that Halloween is only a week away.

Midterms are done and all of a sudden you realize that Halloween is only a week again! You haven't thought of any costume ideas, and for some reason you've already lost all the theme clothing you brought with you. Time to start panicking!

2. Spending more time Amazon Prime-ing yourself things you probably don't need over studying

You'll eventually use all that body glitter, not to mention that 12-pack of every animal ears that you could think of, and for one-day shipping, it's totally worth it! Your parents may call asking if your account got hacked, but we know it's for a good cause.

3. Having meetings to make sure that everyone knows what the group costume is

Nothing says true friendship than like a mandatory meeting to discuss costumes. I mean are we matching or not? It's a Halloween essential!

4. Calling your parents to have them send you something last minute

Remember that cute costume you wore to the Halloween party senior year? Well, imagine how good it would look at your first college Halloween. Doesn't matter that it's almost midnight, I'm sure your parents would be more than happy to go through all your old clothes to find it!

5. The internal struggle of doing an individual costume or matching with a friend

You and your best friend would make two hot bunnies, but what about that cheetah costume you have?! Good thing there enough days to do both!

6. Figuring out what frats to go to

With so many options, it's hard to choose. You can try to hit them all, but you should probably rank your preferences in order. Do you stick with what you know best, or venture to a new one? If there's any time to try something new, it's Halloween!

7. Participating in the Halloween diet

Candy, candy, and more candy. Thanks for the care package mom and dad!

8. Making it through the school week

Essay due on Monday and a Spanish test on Tuesday, but all you're thinking of is what day to wear what costume. Priorities.

9. Getting ready to go out

Classes are done and you haven't slept enough, but there's no time for rest. There is fake blood to be applied and pictures to take. Is it too early to start the pregame at 8?

10. Dancing the night away with your best friends

Halloween is a magical time where you can be whoever you want and get away with things you might not have been able to do before. But we all know that the best memories are usually spent on elevated surfaces with your best friends.

11. Getting ready to do it all again next year

You're overtired and probably a little sick. You had some good nights and probably a bad one too, but you always know there's next year and you can't wait to do it all over again!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
