Crucial to every squad, the "mom" of the group is the friend who steps in as a more fun version of one's actual mother. Responsible, dependable, and a little more adult-like than the children of the group, this person keeps everyone at just the right level of dysfunctional. Below are 11 signs that you're fulfilling everyone's favorite maternal role.

1. You're always prepared with mom-like goodies, in case any of your friends need to borrow some.

Hand sanitizer, an umbrella, tampons - you've got it all. Your supplies have probably come in handy on multiple occasions, and you're always willing to let your friends use what they need.

2. You're constantly cleaning up after your friends.

Regardless of whether or not it's your mess, you're always there to tidy up your friends' living quarters or even do their dishes. I mean, someone has to, right???

3. A night out without your presence would be borderline disastrous...

Between force-feeding your friend water and stopping that creepy guy from hitting on her, you're a necessary element to every event that your group attends. Preventing your drunken friend from calling her ex or dancing on the DJ is just another day in the office for you.

4. ...and the next day would be even worse.

One minute she's on top of the world, and the next minute she's projectile vomiting in the bathroom of the New Jersey Transit. No matter what, you're there to take care of her.

5. You're always a shoulder to cry on...

Equipped to handle even the of worst emotional breakdowns, you provide loving support for your friends just like a mother would.

6. and give the best advice.

Your maturity and experience make you the go-to person for clear-headed advice on every topic imaginable.

7. You've cooked for your friends on at least one occasion.

You struggle to watch them eat Kraft Mac 'n Cheese for the fifth night in a row, so you take matters into your own hands.

8. It's your job to get everyone out of the house/apartment/dorm on time.

This can be a daunting task when each of your friends requires at least three outfit changes before feeling acceptable.

9. You're also in charge of directions.

Armed with your unreliable iPhone GPS, it's always your job to lead the pack in the right direction.

10. You're extremely protective of your friends, and aren't afraid to show it.

You'll let her know when you disapprove of a boy and will stay by her side when he inevitably breaks her heart.

11. You're equipped to handle any crisis.

No matter what the situation is, you're able to strategize and diffuse with little to no causalities in the process. Staying calm is your specialty. In the end, the mom of the friend group might not be the most glamorous role, but without you, s**t would definitely hit the fan. Thank you for giving us all the parenting that we didn't ask for, but probably (definitely) need.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
