11 Signs You're Ready For Spring Break

It's that time of year again. School is in full swing, midterms coming, you're attempting to keep your Lenten promise of giving up drunk eating. Most college students have only one thing on their mind right now: spring break. Whether you're going with half of your school to party in Cancun or Bimini, staying at school to enjoy a whole week of having to do nothing or traveling back home to be smothered in good food and hugs from your parents, the signs that you're ready for spring break are all the same.

1. You're drowning in schoolwork. From midterms to research papers to stupid group projects, you have way too much expected of you. Especially at this time of year.

2. You can't focus anymore. On anything. The thought of working out seems more enticing than sitting in the stacks for nine hours studying organic chemistry.

3. Speaking of the gym, you also now realize that your mission back in January to have a spring break ready bod is failing miserably and you now have a week for a miracle to happen.

4. And the stress eating really isn't helping anything.

5. Your parents call all the time. Whether it's to tell you how excited they are to see you, or it's your mom warning you not to go too crazy in Mexico. But they won't stop calling and texting you.

6. You're trying to save every possible cent so you can be able to have that one extra tequila shot or so you're not literally bankrupt when you return.

7. You start to avoid your phone because your friends from other schools are already on their spring break and keep sending Snapchats of the 80 degree weather and palm trees.

8. It feels like time is literally going at a snails pace. The last week drags on for eternity.

9. And each day one of your friends finishes their last exam / project / paper, so you struggle between wanting to rage all night and celebrate with them, or working on your own work.

10. And it takes every last ounce of your strength to get to that last class before break begins, and you think it just might kill you.

11. But in the back of your head you know spring break is just the halfway marker of the semester.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
