Sometime in your early to mid-twenties, everything seems to change. You catch yourself staying in on a Friday night, getting excited about going to bed before midnight and not being able to survive the day without an ample amount of coffee. These strange little moments usually send a shock down your spine and end with you staring at yourself in the mirror whispering “wow… I’m getting old.” Here are 11 signs you are getting older and closer to #Adulting.

1. Finally realizing you can’t survive on $2.48

That flew when you were 10 years old, but that’s not the case at 22.

2. You have a finance app downloaded on your phone

Boom. You’re Bill Gates now and a pro at money management.

3. Getting excited about staying in and drinking wine

You’ve swapped out crowded, sweaty frat parties for Friday nights with PJs, wine and pizza with your roommates.

4. Eleven p.m. starts to feel like 3 a.m.

Bragging your whole Saturday about how much you’re gonna drink later, only to pass out sober on the couch at 10:30 p.m.

5. Getting practical gifts

Like grocery store gift cards, vacuums, or textbooks. The sad thing is how happy these gifts make you.

6. Being too old to understand new slang

Thinking Houseparty was an actual party instead of a FaceTime app.

7. Eating healthy (sometimes)

Realizing your body is different now and you can’t live off of a diet of honey buns, cereal and peanut butter sandwiches.

8. Your next birthday terrifies you

It’s a lot more exciting to turn 16 than to realize in 8 years you’ll be 30.

9. Barefoot Wine is starting to taste worse and worse

Now that you’ve been 21 for a year, you’re basically a wine connoisseur and see that a $8 bottle of wine is actually pretty crappy.

10. You walk around in a robe with no shame

And you’re contemplating buying a pair of matching slippers.

11. People your age are starting to talk about marriage… and they’re serious

Too soon, too soon.

Getting older is inevitable, just gotta accept it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
