If you're like me and involved with someone who's a journalist, especially a sports one, there's a few obstacles you may encounter throughout your relationship.
1. Your dates are either in the morning or early afternoon because they go into work at 3:00 p.m.
2. You hardly see them at night unless you can stay up until 11:00 p.m. or later when they're finally off.
3. You never seen them on the weekends because that's when the major sporting events happen.
4. Coordinating schedules is next to impossible because their days off change every week.
5. Vacations are few and far between because they're hesitant to ask for multiple consecutive days off.
6. Most (more like all) of the gifts you or your families give them are sports related or sports themed.
7. On the rare occasion you both have the same days off, you're either at some kind of sporting event or watching one on TV.
8. His go-to Netflix and Chill picks are sports documentaries.
9. You don't go to the bar to try the latest beer, you go to watch the game.
10. You know more sports terms than you care to admit.
11. Your most memorable dates have taken place at sporting events.
But no matter what, you love your significant other regardless of their career, and make the sacrifices necessary to maintain a solid and healthy relationship.
