11 Signs That You Are A Senior In College.

What...I'm A Senior?

11 Signs That You Are A Senior In College.

1.Going To The Bar Every Thursday Night Because You Can.

IS IT THURSDAY YET!?!? It will be Monday morning and we're already looking for it to be Thursday again. Half the time looking forward to Thursday's is what pulls us through the week to keep us going. Once it is finally Thursday we go all out!

2. Can No Longer Do 3 Nights In A Row Of Partying. I Need To Work On Thesis And Relax.

Since we go hard on Thursday nights Friday nights sometimes become more of a chill night. We forget we have responsibilities the night before and than all of the sudden we crash into a wall of thesis and internship work that we haven't done yet.

3. Thesis Will Be The Death Of You.

Junior year you might be kind of excited for thesis because that's the only thing you will be focusing on besides internship your senior year, and how hard can that be? Well now that I am a senior and working on thesis it is true, it is a nightmare. It's hard to get motivated to work on and get done when all you want to do is relax, put some sweatpants on, pour a glass of wine, and zone out a bit after a long day of internship.

4. You're Over The Whole Homework Thing.

Thesis might not be your typical homework assignments, but god does it feel like homework. With everything else that we have going on it is a lot and at this point we are just over it. I much rather go to internship and work all day than go home after a day of classes and do homework.

5. You're Looking Into Graduate Programs If You're Not Ready To Give School Up Just Yet.

Some seniors are just not ready to leave yet. That's fine though because guess what you can go to grad school! There are tons of graduate schools and programs that you can do after college, some are only one year programs and some are longer. It is up to you how long you want to stay in school for!

6. Applying For Big Girl And Boy Jobs.

It is time to start looking and applying to jobs. Scary, I know. We have been preparing our whole lives for this moment from elementary school to college. The classic question "what do you want to be when you grow up?" was probably asked more than once. It might have changed over the years, but now it is about to become your reality.

7. Freaking Out Every Time You Think Of The Future And What It Holds For You.

If you are a senior right now you are most likely freaking out every time you think about the future or every time someone brings it up. It is scary to think about what is going to happen once you graduate. Will you have a job, will you be moving out of your parents home, will you go to graduate school? There are so many questions that we are just not ready to answer yet, we need more time! Four years of college sneaks up on you way to fast.

8. Don't Say We Are Half Way Done With College. What Do You Mean??

There is only two weeks left of fall semester...I will not accept that. How could that be possible already. Whenever someone brings it up we all definitely look like Joey from Friends. We need more time! Senior year is not supposed to go fast, we need more time for fun! Having only one semester left before we graduate is terrifying. Seriously where did the time go??

9. You're In Distress Over The Fact That You Wont Be Able To See Your Best Friends Everyday.

What do you mean I can't see my best friends whenever I want!? You don't really realize this until you are a senior going into spring semester, but after this semester if your friends don't live near you it is going to become so much harder to see them. It is going to be a very strange transition from seeing your best friends/roommates every day to barely seeing them at all. If you go to a school where all your friends are from different states, the struggle is going to be real. You will have to plan visits and mark the calendars if you want to get together and I am 100% not ready for that.

10. "I'm A Senior" Is Used As An Excuse For Everything Now. We Do What We Want.

"I'm a senior," I can do what I want. We don't do that one homework assignment, "ehh I'm a senior its okay," or we decide to stay out late at the bar instead of studying or getting some sleep before internship "I'm a senior it's okay". This excuse ends up getting used for almost everything.

11. You Thought High School Senioritis Was Bad...But This Is Worse.

We are about to be done with school forever, unless you are planning on going to graduate school. So the senioritis is at an all time high. Doing homework, studying, and basically doing anything that is productive becomes very difficult. Can't we just drink wine, wear sweatpants, and do nothing all day?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
