Everybody knows how stressful midterm week is. Students struggle to balance studying for their tests, writing papers, completing their everyday homework, as well as getting any amount of sleep they can and finding time to eat. To cope with this ever-mounting, overwhelming list of responsibilities, many students turn to...Netflix.

So here are 11 shows you shouldn't watch during midterm week. Unless, of course, you want to accept academic failure and forget to leave your dorm for a few days.

1. Orange Is the New Black

This show is so addicting it's not even funny. Once you start watching, it's all you'll want to do. Trying to study for midterms, knowing Orange Is the New Black is only a few feet away on Netflix, will be impossible. Trust me.

2. The Office

Once you start watching The Office, you're going to get sucked into the endless Netflix loop. It's inevitable. If you don't want to completely bomb your midterms, just avoid the show altogether.

3. Parks and Recreation

Similar to The Office, watching Parks and Rec is a slippery slope. You'll sit down to watch one episode and the next thing you know, you've watched an entire season and have not cracked open a single text book. The show's great, just wait to watch it until you don't have any major tests looming over you.

4. Friends

Sorry, but no one is immune to Friends. As soon as you hear the theme song, all your other responsibilities are placed on the back burner. Don't let your midterm studying be pushed aside. As hard as it is now, I promise it'll be worth it.

5. Grey's Anatomy

This show is so captivating you won't want to stop watching. And when you have hours of studying to do, becoming addicted to Netflix is never a good idea. So unless you want to have to do major surgery on your GPA, steer clear of Grey's Anatomy until midterm week is over.

6. Gilmore Girls

Like Girl Scout's thin mint cookies, you can't have just one. As soon as you start watching, Lorelei and Rory will begin to feel like your actual friends, and no one likes to neglect their friends. So avoid all the unnecessary friend drama and just delay your Gilmore Girls binge-watching session until after midterms are over.

7. Keeping Up with the Kardashians

There's something about watching people live a life completely different from yours that's truly interesting. But fight the urge to watch our favorite reality TV family and study instead. They'll still be here, hilarious as ever, when you get back.

8. The Walking Dead

As cool as it is watching people turn into, and be attacked by zombies, as soon as you start watching The Walking Dead, you won't be able to stop. And once that happens, you will turn into a zombie since you now have to study for your midterms at 4 am.

9. Once Upon a Time

Once fairytales enter the real world, there's no way you can just watch one episode. But if you want to have a happily ever after with your midterm grades, you're going to have to turn off the TV and return to the real world yourself.

10. Glee

Nobody can resist the songs of Glee. And once you're in the Glee universe, you're in it for the long haul. Save yourself from the Netflix show hole and just refrain from watching it until you've fully prepared for and aced your midterm exams.

11. Modern Family

Everybody's favorite TV family is always entertaining to watch. Sometimes they're too entertaining. When midterms roll around, it's better to pull an Alex Dunphy and turn off all distractions (sorry Modern Family!) and study. In the long-run, you'll be thankful you did.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
