Whether or not your summer break has already begun, you might be finding yourself in search of a TV show (or two, or three) to indulge in this summer. Here are some shows that are guaranteed to have you hooked long enough for Netflix to ask “Are you still watching?”
1. Friday Night Lights
This isn't just for football fans (although if you are one, you'll love this show). And after only a few episodes, you’ll see what the whole Tim Riggins hype is all about.
2. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
Part comedy, part musical, this show features hilarious, catchy songs and a main character who is the awkward person in all of us.
3. The People v. O.J. Simpson
If, like me, you're not too familiar with the 1995 O.J. Simpson murder case, this series will show you the ins and outs of the case while keeping you on the edge of your seat.
4. The League
Even if you don’t know much about Fantasy Football, you’ll appreciate the show’s raunchy sense of humor and the dynamic of the friend group.
5. Jane the Virgin
Jane's life is narrated Telenovela-style while she tackles the issue of being artificially inseminated.
6. Elementary
A modern-day take on Sherlock Holmes, this show resembles Law and Order with a touch of humor. While you're trying to figure out who "did it," Holmes is already two steps ahead.
7. Revenge
Sure, it has the characteristics of a soap opera, but it’s actually really addicting. Plus, the main character (Emily) is a total badass.
8. Freaks and Geeks
If you need a compelling reason to watch it, do it just so you can see James Franco and Seth Rogan before their heyday.
9. Prison Break
You’ll find yourself sympathizing for these prisoners pretty quickly. In the midst of wondering "How will they pull this off?" you won't be able to stop watching.
10. Broad City
The two women heading this show are brilliant. They're completely real and aren't afraid to make fools of themselves, which is really refreshing.
11. Lost
This show has a little bit of everything: drama, mystery, romance, and more. Even in the later seasons, you'll be asking yourself: what the hell is going on with this island?
