11 Types Of People You Can Find Anywhere In The World

One amazing thing about everyone being an individual and being their own person is that none of us were born to be the same. If this is the case, then can someone please explain how there are various people who will come quickly in your life and leave that all seem to morph into one? Well, my dear friends, I’ve done some thinking, and it’s because there are certain types of people that all run the same no matter where you are in the world. You’ll all be able to agree with at least one of these. There are so many types of beautiful out in the great, big world of ours, so don’t be afraid to go out there and find them! Or better yet, become a new type of person yourself!

DISCLAIMER: This article is by no means meant to offend anyone!

1. The Narcissistic One

"Don’t I just look great?” You roll your eyes every time they ask this question. You don’t mind telling your best gal pal that she’s flawless, but you shouldn’t have to remind her every day. This is the one person who is so involved in their self, that they have no other interest in anything else! You ask them how you look, they give you a half shrug. You try and tell them about a fun event that just happened to you and a coworker, and they totally switch the subject to them. Unless you have no other interests than this one person and the number of hookups they’ve had in the past week, you may want to steer clear of these guys... seriously.

2. The Overly-Nice Person aka The Doormat

I used to be able to fall into this category easily. It's so easy to get these people to do anything for you. These are the same people who are incapable of saying no, no matter how extreme what you ask them is. These people are complete sweethearts and you can’t help but love them with your whole heart, but you also can’t fight the urge to just shake them by their shoulders and tell them to get their life together and stand up for themselves! These people are hands down the easiest people to hurt and take advantage of, and they will quickly take you back into their life because it’s almost as if your wish is their command.

3. The Bloodsucker

For clarification, I’m not saying these people resemble The Countess and thrive off of the taste of human blood, but these people can suck any emotion out of you without even trying. These are the Debbie Downers who take the thrill out of a good laugh session with your friends and tell you that you need to shush because nothing is that funny. This is the same person who, when you plan to have an outing, and no matter how many times you throw an invite out to them, decline. These people aren’t that common, and I’ve never come across one in my life. I have, however, heard some horror stories of those who exist.

4. The One Who is Around in Convenience

These people really know how to play your heartstrings, and they know what they’re doing. They come and go as easy as night and day, and they come around when they’re ready for you or when they can handle you. If this person meets someone new and claims this new person as a friend, kiss hanging out with this person goodbye until the new pair split. If this person gets a significant other, you’ll be lucky to hear from this person, because they’ll spend every waking moment with their new love. These are the same people who will make plans with you, but something better comes along, so they’ll blow you off. These people will sit there and say they don’t do these things, but they totally do. Never bring up how they act in front of them, they will deny it until they’re blue in the face.

5. The Compulsive Liar

Ask this person what they had for dinner. If they tell you steak, they really had macaroni and cheese. Ask this person what color the sky is on a beautiful summer day, and they’ll tell you it’s as a gray as it is when the rain pours. When people lie over simple things, it makes it hard to trust this person with anything, including simple things like asking them the time. These types of people are some of the sweetest people I have ever met, but it’s so hard to trust a single word they say anytime they tell me a story about that one time they had last summer.

6. The Fictional Character aka Wannabe Reality Starlet

These people, in my experience, are the most common people I have come across in my life. These are the people that like to cause so much drama and see everyone else’s lives go up in flames, and when there is drama in their life, everyone in the world will know about it due to being on Facebook and Twitter. These people are the hardest ones to trust, because falseness just oozes out of them. They’ll be friendly and nice to someone to their face, yet say nothing but negative things behind their back. Their life revolves around drama, gossip, and being manipulative.

7. The Poisonous One

The Poisonous Ones go hand in hand with the Reality Starlets. These are the ones who you have such a good time with no matter what you’re doing, but they’re such a bad influence that they can completely change the person you are. These people are the ones who make you really challenge yourself by giving you the option of being the person who does something to fit in, or if you’re going to be the person who stands their ground and doesn’t do anything they aren’t comfortable with. These are the people who try to force you to drink, do drugs, etc. It could be more than their actions, though. Their personalities could be poisonous and just cause a different side of you to come out that isn’t yourself. Make sure you always stay true to who you are. If you lose people for being yourself, they weren’t meant to be in your life anyway.

8. The Awkward Turtle

These people are the cutest and they don’t even try. You know when you go to a party and you see someone standing shy in the corner all night? That’s the awkward turtle. When you run into someone you know in the mall and their friend is standing there fidgeting and super quiet, and every time you make eye contact with them they quickly lose the connection and get spastic? That’s the awkward turtle. These people are quiet, shy, and just plain awkward. Yet, I’ve come to realize these are the best people to come across, because of how sincere and generous they are. My favorite part about these types of people? They say the wrong thing at the wrong time, and if you get to know them personally, they are the most random, hysterical, talkative people you will ever meet, which is why I’m so glad to be a part of this club.

9. The Negative Nelly

No matter what good is going on in the world or in life, you can always count on these people to bring you down. You just got a promotion, they’ll remind you that you still aren’t going to be making enough to make your rent next month. You’re excited about the concert that you’re going to next Wednesday, and they’ll remind you that the loud music is going to damage your ears, and this artist’s music isn’t even worth it anyway. These people are always the best at bringing you down, and you’ll fall harder the more excited you are for something. Any idea you throw out to these people, they will kill with their negativity and tell you it’s stupid and that they hate everything and they don’t want to do it.

10. The Free Spirit

These people are the most exciting people to be around. Those who are free spirits are the ones who do whatever they desire, no matter what it means to get to this particular place. They do whatever they want, whenever they want, however they want, and they don’t care what you have to say about it. These people tend to be the most relaxed people, and can easily bring you back to earth when your head is too focused on what’s going on above the clouds.

11. The Genuine One

These people are the most admirable type that is left in this world. These people are the truest, most honest, and most rare people to exist nowadays, which is why when/if you find one, you should definitely cling on tight and try not to let go. These people are usually upfront and straightforward, so if you’re looking for an answer from somebody that won’t dance around the information, find one of these, and you will definitely get what you’re looking for.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
