11 Reasons Daughters Love Their Mothers

1. They will forever be the best chefs.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, is better than a home cooked meal.

2. They act as your personal stylist (whether you want them to or not).

Remember when you were upset when your mom wouldn't buy you a pair of Gaucho pants? I'm sure you are thanking her now.

3. Your mom was your personal chauffeur for a large chunk of your life.

From dance and soccer, to choir and everything in between, you could always count on your mama to get you there.

4. Moms understand the importance of a good sale.

If you read about the hour long lines at the Lilly for Target opening, I'm sure a large portion of the shoppers were mothers in the line for their daughters.

5. Your mom is your ultimate partner in crime.

Whether it be singing ABBA karaoke in the kitchen or laughing for no particular reason, there is no better person to have fun with than your mom.

6. Moms are always the first to help in any situation.

From homework, to friends, to big decisions, your mom is always willing to give her opinion and help you in any way possible.

7. They are always willing to listen.

When you have to get something off of your chest, or have useless gossip, moms are always ready to listen to you and chitchat away.

8. Moms have the hardest job in the world.

Let's be honest, raising a daughter can't be easy and yet, somehow, moms have learned to do so with a grace unknown to others.

9. Moms would do anything for their children.

No one can stick up for you like your mother can.

10. And you know you can always count on you mom no matter what.

11. You hope that, one-day, you can grow up to be just like her.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
