11 Reasons Netflix Is Better Than A Boyfriend

Netflix is the talk of the town. Almost no one is without Netflix — even adults. TV companies have caught on and made Netflix available to families everywhere, bettering the great nation that we live in. Are you single and proud? Or maybe you're single and need a reason to be proud? Well I'm giving you something to brag about: how great Netflix is and why it's better than your best friend's flourishing relationship. Read on, my Netflix lovers.

1. You don't have to talk if you don't want to.

For some, this is the biggest worry in a relationship. They don't know how to keep the conversation going and they stress out. Never fear, Netflix is here to solve your biggest worry — you don't have to talk about a thing.

2. You can eat as much as you want.

And you don't have to share. What could be better, honestly? When you're on a date you have to worry about being ladylike and eating small portions, but when you're in the comfort of your own bed, you bet your bottom dollar that you can cuddle up with your greasy fast food and eat away.

3. Looks don't matter.

It doesn't matter what you look like if you want to Netflix and alone. You could be in your grungiest pair of sweats and it wouldn't affect the quality of your Netflix watching in the slightest. A win-win, right?

4. Netflix always asks if you want to continue.

#Respect, am I right? Netflix gets it; it doesn't want to intrude on your personal time. This makes for a quality relationship.

5. You get to pick what you watch.

There's never any indecisiveness in the relationship because there's only one person in charge. You get to pick what you're in the mood for and watch whatever you want and you can pick something different at any given time.

6. People can easily third wheel.

While in most relationships it's important to be exclusive, Netflix is a major exception. You can watch with you mom, dad, brother, sister, cat, dog, best friend, or even a whole group of people! Netflix provides all of the perks that a normal relationship doesn't.

7. You can Netflix without worrying about the "chilling."

"Netflix and chill" is a phrase all too familiar with the normal relationships nowadays. Reason number seven why Netflix is better than a boyfriend is that you don't have to worry about something happening that you aren't prepared for. So lay back, relax and enjoy your Netflix without the pressure of chilling.

8. You don't have to buy it anything.

We just got over the Valentine's Day hump, thank goodness, but couples everywhere are already stressing about the next birthday present to get their special someone. with Netflix, there's never a thing to stress about with gift buying.

9. Netflix handles emotional days perfectly.

Had a bad day? Pick a sappy rom-com and cry into your pillow. Netflix isn't going to say or do anything to make you more upset or mad.

10. You can take it anywhere.

Going out of town? Netflix has your back. Of course wi-fi is important, but who doesn't have wi-fi in todays world? Netflix like to travel, embrace it.

11. Netflix doesn't have an age limit.

Literally anyone can watch Netflix. You never have to second guess your gut feeling or feel embarrassed to tell a friend about your love life. I'm pretty confident that Netflix's secret motto is "come one, come all."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
