As college graduation gets closer and closer, the reality of it all starts to set in. It's time to find a job, apply to grad school, determine your living arrangements and think about where you might want to be for the next few years of your life. This is a lot of pressure. You will be introduced to a whole new level of freedom and sent out into the world. So, as we all get stressed out because everyone is asking us what we are doing after college and we really have no idea what to say, it is important to remember the exiting parts about graduating!
1. Unless you are starting work right away, it means it is time for summer break!
2. My college diet, consisting of cafeteria food, alcohol, pizza and more alcohol, is really starting to show.
3. Going into the “real world” means a real job, which makes real large amounts of money compared to that minimum wage job in
the rec center.
4. It is a time to meet new people!
Work will introduce you to new colleagues and, as you go out in new areas, you will make plenty of new friends.
5. If you want, you can live at home again.
This may be your last chance, because once you are a few years graduated it probably will not be so acceptable anymore.
6. No more cafeteria food!
There will be new people, places and experiences.
8. No more tests, quizzes, unnecessary group projects, papers and readings.
9. College is fun, but now it is time for bigger and better adventures!
10. It is getting kind of old, seeing the same people at the same parties and bars.
11. Most of all, this is life.
We cannot stay in college forever, and graduating is our first step into forming the rest of our lives! How exciting!
