Are you and bae tired of telling each other, “I’m not sure, it’s whatever you wanna do?" I know that feeling and it is exhausting. Late one night, my boyfriend and I sat down and planned a whole bunch of exciting things that we could do around our hometowns that wouldn’t completely dry out our bank accounts. Here’s a list of exciting and romantic ideas to do on any summer day:

1. Picnic

Whether with your sweetheart, your friends or your family, a picnic at your nearest park, flower garden or endless field overlooking the city is a great idea.

It allows for some bonding time and being outside in the fresh air and sunshine can really help boost you up.

Sure, Marge, that too.

2. Hike

I know, the sound of exercise during a hot summer makes me cringe too. But some days I’ll wake up with the urge to be active. There can be a lot of beautiful, scenic views at the top of most hikes, so the activity is much worth the struggle.

Just be careful where you step! Other advantages of going on exhausting hikes are if your man has a lot of energy, then this is the perfect way to spend some time together, burn some calories, and take a long nap later.

3. Beach day

Quite the obvious idea, yes. This may just be me, but when I think of going to the beach, I see me, my family, and a week's vacation.

Planning a day at the beach with bae and maybe a couple friends all itching for an adventure can last anywhere from a long twelve hours to a few days. What a great way to see friends from college or meet halfway to see your man on a romantic beach day; it makes everything more romantic and intimate.

4. Drive-in movies

Growing up, these were the coolest things to do with my friends from middle school. Now, people have taken it to a new level. Forget sitting in the front seat of your car for an hour squinting through your windshield. Instead, bring a truck, or a car with a long trunk and ta-da: your very own bed in the back of your car/truck! Some people take lawn chairs and blankets, others take endless pillows and comforters to make an actual bed whilst watching the giant outdoor screen glowing in front of them. It’s the perfect makeshift and snuggly date for a late summer night!

5. Muse Paintbar

Artistic abilities or not, this is the perfect date. Muse combines painting instruction with a restaurant and bar! Instructors teach you a painting of the day that you pick to your liking online. They are simple yet beautiful pictures that you and your beloved can cherish forever! Or it can be a memory that you both look back at and laugh because his lighthouse looks like a shipwreck in the middle of the ocean!

6. Order takeout

After being on that endless summer diet that you never really followed, treating yourself to Chinese, pizza or movie popcorn and candy can taste so delicious! Include a movie while eating in bed and it’s a comfy night in. Plus, it is the perfect way to get to know your lovey’s favorites foods and sweets!

7. Mini golf

A typical summer vacation idea, but you know you can’t resist it! Everyone loves mini golf; especially if you have a big group of friends or couples that team up and get competitive! Whoever loses buys drinks!

8. Antique stores

My boyfriend and I don’t live too close to each other, so when making plans, we take different little adventures to places nearby each of our hometowns to keep busy and excited. To make the long drives interesting, we stop at any antique store we see on the way.

One time we stumbled upon this antique store, pulled over, and I ended up buying this giant paperclip letter holder to which now, it holds all the goodbye, see you soon, and I love you notes that he leaves me every time our time together has to come to an end. Big memories can be made even by doing the smallest of adventures. Plus, I love little treasures with special memories!

9. Watching fireworks at the beach

Nothing is more romantic than fireworks under the stars with your dearest. Take a late night stroll on the beach and you’d be surprised how many people you would find surrounding a bonfire, eating s’mores, celebrating, and setting up fireworks!

You could make it better by hitting your local ice cream place before setting your blanket down at the beach. What a great way to end the day!

10. Amusement park

Rollercoasters are not my favorite, but I can be persuaded to ride the water coasters. Six Flags, Lake Compounce, Busch Gardens, and especially Disneyland are riveting adventures to take with your friends and significant other! The rides are thrilling and the prizes won from playing darts or water guns are memories to be cherished.

11. The Belmont

Going into the city for dinner, shows or special events is always something to look forward to in summer. If you like dressing in your best and brightest clothes, then The Belmont horse races are the event for you! It is a day full of socializing, drinks, the sun, gambling, and, of course, horses! If you get a big enough group to go with, then the prices won’t be too high, either! It is the perfect way to venture out with your boo, your friends from home, get together with your college mates, and even bring your family!

12. Concerts

Yes, spending money is not the most favorable thing to do. But, if you keep a lookout on Groupon or Live Nation, concerts tickets are always on sale! Seeing your favorite singer or just relaxing on lawn seats listening to country music is the perfect way to spend a sweet summer night with your honey.

Anything is better than sitting at home and looking out the window wishing you had something to do. Get planning and make your last few weeks of summer adventurous, incredible, and full of memories!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
