Is it just me or has the presidential campaign lost its mojo? We have all gotten used to Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton isn’t doing too hot, we all just feel bad for Jeb Bush and Donald Trump is just not relevant anymore. This will be my first year to vote for the presidency but I honestly have no clue who I would vote for. So instead of stressing about it, I thought of a list of potential candidates I’d rather see on this presidential campaign. They may not all qualify, but I think it would be more entertaining.
1. Jennifer Lawrence
To state the obvious suggestion first, this would definitely be a sincere dream of mine. I think we'd receive many more allies if J-Law was in charge.
2. Gordon Ramsay
I can’t imagine the amount of wars we’d find ourselves in with his mouth, but at least America would never go hungry again.
3. Bob Goff
First off, we’d be heading into no wars because "Love Does" right? And there is no doubt in my mind that he would move his Oval Office to his present office, Tom Sawyer’s Island in Disneyland.
4. Kevin Durant
I’m thinking records would be broken with Durant as the commander-in-chief. He'd probably be the tallest president ever.
5. Ellen DeGeneres
Our nation would be laughing 24/7 and she’d continue in Michelle Obama’s footsteps in keeping America healthy with all of the spontaneous dancing.
6. Chris Harrison
The only reason I’d like him to be president would be for his speeches. I would like him to walk in with dramatic music then tell the nation, “Congress, this is the last bill of the night,” then walk out.
7. John Krasinski
I picked him for a reason similar to Chris Harrison’s. I would fall head over heels if he was at an event with cameras filming him and something happens and he does the “Jim face” into the camera. That would be epic!
8. Justin Bieber
Sure, the Biebs would probably rub a world leader the wrong way during his presidency, but he’d have the best response… “Is it too late now to say sorry?”
9. Beyoncé
"Who run the world? GIRLS!"
10. Jimmy Kimmel
Guillermo would obviously be his vice president, but we’d also be entertained every night with ridiculous bits, and his speeches would be funny monologues.
11. Jimmy Fallon
#FallonTimberlake2016. There’s enough said in that one hashtag, but honestly how cool would it be if Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake ran this nation? I think his term would go down in history as the time when America was truly great.
I have to admit, this list is pretty random but I believe it would potentially raise more controversy than Donald Trump’s campaign. But in all seriousness, I personally realize how little I know about this year’s candidates and have decided to invest more time into learning what each candidate has to offer. As Americans, it is our duty to pick the best candidate who can serve our country.
