I don’t know about you, but I love a good book on the beach. Just imagine laying on the warm sand with you shades on while holding a book in your hand. That book could then transport you to an amazing world that will leave you with thrilling memories. But let's admit it, sometimes finding a good book can be difficult. Luckily I have a few options that will make the book choosing process just a little bit easier.

1. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

If you’re looking for a tear jerker this summer then you have to read Me Before You. Lou Clark just lost her job and now has to work for the mysterious Will Traynor. But this isn’t your regular job, there are many secrets not being spoken about under this household. I guarantee that you won’t want to put this book down.

2. The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins

If you were a fan of Gone Girl, the this is the book for you. This book takes you on a mysterious adventure. Rachel takes the same train every morning. Everyday she passes by the same streets and homes; but one day she sees something shocking. After that she makes one decision that changes everything.

3. A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

Remember the movie Up? Remember the old man in the movie? Well picture him but much grumpier and you’ll get Ove. This book will take you through Ove’s life and show you how one family changes his outlook. It is a feel-good novel and will definitely keep a smile on your face.

4. All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

During the devastation of World War II, a blind French girl meets a German boy. Together they try to survive and fight against all odds. But this isn’t your typical boy meets girl novel, the depth of their relationship means so much more.

5. And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

If you’re looking for a haunting mystery novel then this is definitely the book for you. Many people die but nobody knows who’s doing it. Will you be able to figure it out?

6. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

You might have heard of the show Outlander. If you haven’t, it’s about a 20th-century nurse who time travels to the 18th century. Every detail of her adventure is gripping. This is the first novel in a beautiful series. It’s a little long, but it’s worth it!

7. The Stand by Stephen King

No “Must-read” list is complete without a Stephen King book. This is a post-apocalyptic novel about a man who spreads a mutated strain of the flu that is meant to wipe out 99% of the population within two weeks. The story is creepy and will keep you at the edge of your seat for hours.

8. Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson

If you’re seriously looking to laugh this summer, then please read this book! Honestly, it is something you will never expect. It takes you on a long weekend road trip filled with drugs and an unexpected good time. It will show you the annals of American pop culture as one very strange journey. It’s so good that it was even turned into a major motion picture!

9. White Teeth by Zadie Smith

This story will show you what it truly means to flirt with disaster. It will take you through the extremities of modern life and high expectations. This is a story about the unlikeliest of friends. The story is unforgettable.

10. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Usually a story of a Shepard boy doesn’t get much attention. But let me tell you this one does! This is a raw depiction of human life and self-discovery. If you want a book that will help you look within, then please read this book!

11. American Gods by Neil Gaiman

A man’s wife is killed in a terrible accident. When he goes to her funeral he meets a man called Mr. Wednesday. He warns shadow that even a bigger catastrophe is coming. But let’s just say, after that encounter his life will never be the same. This is a page-turner life no other. You must read this book!

Good summer books are everywhere. The goal is to find a book you like that will keep you entertained throughout the long summer months. These are just a few books that are meant to satisfy almost anyone's genre craving! Now go pick up a book!
