Are you a Denison student? Are you frequently hungry but also completely unwilling to go to Curtis/Slayter/Huffman to pay money to eat stale/limp/flavorless/over-seasoned foods? You're not alone. I've compiled a list of my 11 favorite food options that won't break the bank and do NOT include the daily options we're exposed to on campus. They're within a 20-minute drive from our home on the hill--put them on your to-try list!

1. Whit's Flavor of the Week

If you know anything about Denison students, you know that Whit's is our spirit food.

2. Raising Cane's Chicken Tenders

Pro tip: make it a meal to try the texas toast and fries. (Don't forget the Cane's sauce).

3. Gouma's Chocolates

Cake pops and chocolate-covered marshmallows...need I say more?

4. Blueberry Pancakes from Aladdin's

You can't beat the charming diner breakfast feel.

5. Alfie's Peanut Butter and Jelly

This option is right here in Granville; they have tons of vegan and organic options, too!

6. River Road's Stromboli

This cozy little coffee house has great pastries and espresso, but their stromboli is one of my favorites. You also can't top the homey atmosphere!

7. Uberburger's Sidewinder Fries

THEY DELIVER. (Thank me later).

8. Anything and everything from Taco Dan's

You can't ever go wrong in Denison's favorite hangout spot.

9. General Tso's Chicken From Dragon Village

Their combo plates are also a must.

10. Jolly Pirate Donuts' devil's food donut

JPD is known (and loved) by all. In my opinion, their devil's food is the holy grail of their choices. At less than a dollar a piece, you won't have to dig deep in your pockets for these sweet treats.

11. Spinach Artichoke Dip from the Broadway Pub

I mean just look at this.^ It's a chip's match made in heaven.

Are you hungry yet? Yes? Well what are you waiting for? Go get some good eats, Denisonian. You deserve it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
