Lipstick as always been a staple in any woman's makeup arsenal. Each color makes a statement and shows off your personality. You have your nudes, reds, pinks, purples, and the fun colors. In the past, lipstick was very basic, and the biggest statement color was a powerful red. Today people are wearing blues, blacks, silver, green and other colors to make a statement with their makeup. Lipstick and makeup are another way we can express ourselves, and everyone should be able to. You might think, "oh I could never pull that color off," but how do you know if you've never tried? There will be some misses, but you might find your go to lipstick! Be bold, subtle, expressive, bright, soft, or sweet. Here are 11 lipsticks every girl or boy should try at least once!
1. Red with Blue Undertones
While this is a classic, everyone should try this shade! Its powerful and makes your teeth look whiter! My favorite Blue toned Red is Mary Jo K by Kylie Cosmetics or StopLight Red by Wet n Wild.
2. Orange
This color is a small step in to the bold, unique colors. It has become one of my favorite and is a great summer color! My favorite orange is Orange County by NYX Liquid Suede.
3. Baby Pink
This for being sweet and flirty. Baby Pinks are the best way to wear lipstick and not look like you have a lot on. My favorites are Tea & Cookies by Nyx Liquied Suede or Think Pink by Wet n Wild.
4. Strawberry Pink
I'm not a very big pink lip person, but strawberry pink is in between a pink and a red and I love it! My favorite is Kristen K by Kylie Cosmetics.
5. Warm toned Nudes
Every one needs a good nude in their life. My favorite is bare it all by Wet n Wild.
6. Deep Purple
This Vamp color will have you feeling like a sultry goddess. Keeping the face simple and pairing it with this deep purple is a show stopper. My favorite is Kourt K by Kylie Cosmetics or Possed Plum by Mabelinne. Check out this site for swatches on different skintones and hair colors!
7. Brown
Step back into the 90's with this shade. Also remeber it's not melted chocolate but it sure does look like it. My favorite is Downtown Beauty by NYX Liquid Suede
8. Metallic Lips

9. Burgandy
The perfect fall shade. I am currently in love with Leo by Kylie Cosmetics or LAX by colourpop
10. Navy Blue
I have to admit that if it was for Kylie Cosmetics Fourth of July shade Freedom I would have never thought about blue being a lipstick shade. I researched dupes for the color and found Jet Set by NYX Liquid Suede and I LOVE IT. It's bold, out there and unexcpected. You'll never know until you try it.
11. Black
This is the one shade I have yet to buy try, but I see so many people rocking black lipstick that it's my next shade to grab. I'll probably grab Alien by Liquid Suede, and if I love the color so much, I might spend the money and grab Dead of Knight by Kylie Cosmetics.
