11 Fun Ways To Make Money

Everyone would love some extra spending money or a little more in their savings account, so why not have fun doing it? Talents, interests and hobbies can become cash, and here’s some ways to do it:

1. Become a Campus Representative:

If you’re fond of a particular app or store, find out about their campus rep opportunities! You get to promote the app or store around your campus and build off of your social connections to make money!

WayUp is an amazing website/app that is geared towards finding college students jobs! There are many campus rep opportunities on this website, sign up here:

2. Make an app:

This of course requires some knowledge on app development and dedication to the app, but anyone can submit their own app to the app store. Have an idea? Start working on it, because no matter how big or small, someone will probably find use for it.

Check out this app LookOff, where your face is trivia, by Justin Lennox:

3. Start a YouTube channel:

Making money through YouTube definitely takes time, as well as good content. If you’re up for a bit of challenge and have a passion for something, whether it be makeup, fashion, making people laugh, etc, YouTube is a great platform to showcase your interests on.

Check out India Batson's channel, PopOfColor, and subscribe for great makeup tutorials, lookbooks and more fun videos!

4. Become a tutor:

If you’re particularly knowledgeable in a certain subject, tutor! Not only is tutoring a great way to make extra money, it’s also a way to help fellow students achieve their dreams.

Axon Tutors allows you to choose your rates for tutoring and create your schedule! This allows tutors to have their own business on their own time, sign up to be a tutor here:

5. Become a coach/ instructor:

Do you have experience in a particular sport? You can use your skills to help others looking to improve their own.

CoachUp allows you to turn your passion into teaching others, sign up to join their coaching team here:

6. Babysit:

Depending on your feelings towards children, babysitting is an easy, fun way to make money. Sign up at https://www.care.com to become a babysitter and get CPR certified to help out your chances of getting hired! You also can ask around and use your own social connections to find professors or faculty on campus who are in need of a babysitter.

7. Start your own photography business:

If you happen to love photography, then start a web page and upload your work for others to enjoy (and hopefully hire you).
Check out work by Ariana Simon here:

8. Become a Brand Ambassador:

Many brands offer ambassador positions to promote their clothing or products. This is an amazing way to make money, because it's all about how much work you want to put in. The more time you dedicate to the brand, the more money you'll make. You'll be able to hold events for the brand and even get to give away free stuff, and who doesn't love free stuff?

9. Start an Etsy shop:

Let your creative juices flow and start an Etsy to sell handmade crafts, art or anything really. Start your own shop at https://www.etsy.com.

You can even create a Facebook for your business! Check out The Pink Pineapple shop for adorable gifts here:

http://www.facebook.com/pinkpineapplemonograms

10. Start a blog:

Love to write? Your outlet can become a source of income with enough time and dedication (and partnerships with ads). Blogs are not only fun for the writers (and most likely a stress relief), they're fun for others to read!

Check out a couple of my Alpha Gam sisters' blogs here:

11. Sell your things:

If you find yourself not using/wearing something for a while, sell it! It’s a great way to de-clutter and make extra money while doing it too!

You can sell on amazon, eBay and many other websites, but don't forget to put your items on buy/trade/sell Facebook pages!

Or just try to win the lottery because let's face it, money is cool sometimes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
