The 11 Family Members You Have At A Big Family Party

Family parties when you are part of a big family are a multi-step, exhausting process. The most prevent lent part of family parties, of course, are the family members. Here are the 11 common family members that you find at a family function:

1. The children

First you were one, now you're watching them. The children of the family are always the cutest form of entertainment. Whether it's an Easter egg hunt or opening Christmas presents, they end up being the light of the party.

2. Specifically, the baby in the family

The youngest child is everyone's sweet baby and everyone often fights for the attention. It's rare that you get much time to see the baby but he or she is still cute from a distance.

3. The aunt that always tries to make jokes.

Sometimes she's funny, and sometimes she's not, but the most important part is that she thinks she's funny.

4. Your own mother/family

The safe base. When all else gets awkward, find your mom or dad. Often a commonly used tool when the aunt that makes too many jokes comes on too strong.

5. Your favorite cousin

Your favorite mini family reunion between you and your favorite cousin. He or she is also know as an extra sibling.

6. The aunt or uncle that brings the actual party

Your favorite aunt or uncle, often the parent of your favorite cousin. She's fun until she tries acting like one of the kids.

7. The sleeping uncle

At every occasion is the family member sleeping on a chair or couch. He is often caught on everyone's cameras

8. The family member that always shows up late.

Whether she was getting her kids ready, running errands, or just slept in, he or she is always late to every occasion.

9. The family member who's at every family party, but you don't know who he/she is.

At every event you find people that you've never met before, especially when you have a huge family. It becomes the weirdest when they make comments about how much you have grown up.

10. The family member that always tries to start arguments.

Everything is going great at the family party. Your aunts and uncles are chatting but you know it's going to get juicy when you hear one sassy family member say, "what did you just say?"

11. The family member that always leaves early

Always on the go, and never there for dessert. At least she stopped in before she was off to the next family member's house.

Whether you have all of these family members or none of them, you can not help but love all of your family members, and look forward to the next party.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
