Who doesn’t love coffee? The thing that allows you to cheat yourself out of a good night’s sleep and still function (more or less) on a regular basis with little consequences. Despite the fact that once you begin with the coffee you don’t (can’t) go back, coffee is the best part of my day, and no one should ever see me without it.
1. Going to class at 7:55 a.m. because who is up on their on will at this hour?
2. Staying up past 1 a.m. to study and actually be able to get things done.
3. Sitting through looooooooong meetings that would be prime for a catnap but you’d definitely get caught if you tried.
4. Using drinking it as a means to get out of answering questions.
5. Holding the cup it’s in when it’s cold (if it’s hot) to act as hand warmers.
6. To sate your appetite if you aren’t around real food.
7. Sometimes, for being less crabby if it’s a particular early morning.
8. Satisfying a sweet tooth craving by getting a super sugary coffee.
9. Taking basic white girl pictures of your cup, if that’s your thing.
10. Ignoring your natural circadian rhythm in an effort to do more things on a regular basis.
11. Being an unfailing pick-me-up on those days when nothing else seems to do the trick.
