If you think Halloween is just for kids, think again. The fun of trick-or-treating may be long gone but who says college students can’t have fun with getting dressed up in creative costumes? Take up the fun of Halloween while you still can with these chic renditions of 11 classic Halloween costumes.

1. Catwoman

Stay away from the typical cat costume and become the cool and sexy Cat Women instead this Halloween. All you need is a pair of high-waisted leather leggings, a leather cropped bustier, cat ears, and an eye mask to make this costume work.

2. Flapper

Channel your inner 1920s attitude and be a flapper this Halloween. Instead of going for the classic black fringe dress, wear a fun pair of sequin shorts with a fringe top. Complete your look with a feather boa, feather headband, and some red-lipstick and you have yourself a modern take on the class of The Great Gatsby.

3. Soldier

Transform this tough look into a cute and flirty costume by wearing some high-waisted black shorts with hardcore pair of ripped fish-net stockings underneath and laced-up combat boots. Get a camouflage top with a bandana to match and paint on some eye black to become a badass yet chic army girl.

4. Princess Jasmine

We all idolized at least one of the Disney Princesses and Halloween was the perfect time to become our favorite one and let’s be real that dream still hasn’t died down. If Princess Jasmine was your favorite, pair some blue bohemian pants with a gold jeweled chain head piece and become the free-spirited and confident Princess.

5. Rosie the Riveter

Who doesn’t wish they could become Rosie the Riveter for a day? Become the cultural female icon of our nation with a loose denim button up and a bandana to pull your hair back. Show off your guns and scream “We Can Do It!” to embody female empowerment this Halloween.

6. Witch

Everyone has been a witch for Halloween at some point in her lifetime. It’s a costume that embodies the spirit of Halloween. Spice up the classic witch costume with a dark smokey eye makeup look and a cool black body suit and don’t forget to throw on the classic witch hat!

7. Wednesday Addams

Nothing screams Halloween more than the Addams Family. Become the striking Wednesday with a little black collared dress and a pair of black Doc Marten boots. Tie your hair into two low pig-tail braids and you’re set!

8. Zombie

With some cool face makeup take the scarier route this Halloween and become a zombie. Watch make-up tutorials to create a dark eye makeup look with fake blood, throw on a pair of distressed jeans and a cut-up t-shirt to transform yourself into a chic blood-sucking creature.

9. Fairy

Become a cute dainty fairy by wearing a fun skater dress in a pastel color. Decorate your eyes with sequin and get a pair of sparkly yet simple wings. All you need is some pixie dust to help you fly and someone to be your Peter Pan to make this costume complete!

10. Policewoman

Have the world thinking you’re the ultimate cop for a night. A leather-pleated skirt with an edgy pair of moto booties will bring a fashionable twist to the traditional police uniform. Remember no police costume is complete without a badge and a police hat!

11. Country Chick

Bring out your inner country charm and become a cowgirl. Tie a flannel around your waist and rock a pair of denim cut-offs with your cowgirl boots. Let your hair out loosely underneath a cowgirl hat and let your Southern sass shine through.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
