11 Boredom Busters

Sure, things are more fun when you are doing life with other people, especially when you are with friends. But lets admit, there are times when you find yourselves stuck, staring at the ceiling fan wondering “well, what should we do next?”. We have all been there before (no shame!). So here is a list of things you and your best friends can do together that is totally fun and will definitely save you from the wall of boredom you hit.

1. Start a YouTube Channel

All you need is something that takes video (your phone, a laptop, video camera, etc.) and a good idea. Record each other doing silly things, or ask each other random questions, in a hilarious talk show way. I’m sure you’ll have a great time not only filming the video, but also watching the playbacks at the end!

2. Start a New Netflix Series

Let's be real, there is always that one show that everyone seems to be watching, but you. And you say that you’ll get to watching it, but never seem to have the time. Well here is a great chance to catch up! Make some tasty snacks and get ready for a new chapter of your TV watching life.

3. Go For a Hike

If you are more of the “outdoors-y” type, then take advantage and go out to experience the world around you. Pack up a few snacks, lots of water, and head out to the mountains for a hike (and maybe a picnic as well). There is something special and mysterious about being around nature, it is sure to bring good memories with your mains.

4. Workout

Since we are on the topic of being active, why not get up and go hit the gym. It’s a way to burn boredom and calories, plus it never hurts to work out. Going with your friends, you’ll be able to help and cheer each other on. Say hello to your new workout buddies!

5. Get Crafty

You have got quiet an amazing brain, why not unleash its creative side. Find a blank sheet of paper and go at it! The possibilities are limitless. Draw something that catches your eye, paint a picture of what is in front of you, or create an inspiration board based off of what you are drawn to. At the end of it all, you will have a masterpiece!

6. Create a Memory Book

Whenever we have good friends, the time seems to just fly by, yet the memories stay forever. Take this down time that you have with each other to think back on when you first became friends, and all the memories made since them. It’s a great time to reminisce on those special moments, and write them out as you go.

7. Decide to Become Chefs

You can also create new memories by getting into the kitchen and learning how to make each other’s favorite dishes. Cooking is definitely a skill, and what better fun than taking it on with a group of your favorite people. Making delicious food (or at least trying to) will definitely be something to cross off the bucket list.

8. Do a Puzzle

Yes puzzles can get challenging and take a while to complete. But when you all sit down and focus on what task you have at hand, time is sure to fly by and complete the final picture.

9. Go Out for Frozen Yogurt

Walk down to your closest frozen yogurt and get a nice, cold treat. Enjoying a simple moment like this will not only get you out of the house, but also feed your sweet tooth. Enjoy a refreshing desert while relaxing in the sun.

10. Learn a New Talent

Have you ever wanted to learn how to do that cool magic trick or pick up on the latest dance craze? Search up some tutorials and learn them together, or even teach each other the new skills. I’m sure you’ll find hours of entertainment in watching each other try to succeed at these new things.

11. Go on a Random Adventure

Sometimes the first step towards curing boredom is getting up the energy to just go outside, hop in the car, and see where life takes you. Maybe you do not have a solid idea of what it is you want to do or where you want to go, but even just trusting that something interesting will come across your paths is good enough!
