College is an amazing experience, from freshman year to senior year it definitely flies by. Now that I'm in my senior year, and about to graduate, the freshman that are soon to come will be the end of those born in the 90's. I felt like this list would be best suited for those who are both about to graduate, and those who have just entered. These songs and the power of music can get you through more than you think they can, so sit back, and enjoy some great tunes.

1. Good Riddance ( Time of your Life) - Green Day.

College is a great time, and as a senior, walking across the stage, you can look back and try to figure out where all the time went.

2. Wonderwall - Oasis.

Just like Oasis described it in an interview as "a way to save you from yourself" sometimes you need to find your own "Wonderwall" or your own "Oasis."

3. Tubthumping - Chumbawumba.

Just like the song says "I get knocked down, and I get up again, you're never gonna keep me down" - Tubthumping. College is going to knock you down multiple times, but you have to persevere, and finish strong.

4. Why Can't We Be Friends - Smash Mouth.

Ever had that moment where you're stuck on a question in class, or maybe on homework, and you ask the person next to you, and they say something nasty, or just walk away, and this song plays in your head?

5. Effle 65 - Blue Da Ba De.

Sometimes we just need to kick back, and sing along to this one after a long day.

6. No Rain - Blind Melon.

The bands lead singer says this song is about "not being able to get out of bed, and finding excuses to face the day, when you have really, in a way, nothing" so he's describing those low, and tough days that we all face in life.

7. One Headlight - The Wallflowers.

Another song that will play in your head as you're progressing in your college career. The meaning of this song is basically about the death of ideas, but being able to push through and keep trying. So just like the experiences you'll encounter, some will be rough, and some of your thoughts will change, but that doesn't mean you should stop trying.

8. Dammit - Blink 182.

Mark Hopus wrote this song to say that even though things happen in life, it's all part of growing up. So take things as they come, and take them with a light heart, because you can either learn from that experience, and grow, or let it crush you.

9. Jump Around - House of Pain.

Sometimes we all just need to take a break from studying, espeically during midterms and finals, and "Jump Around" - House of Pain.

10. Mr. Jones - Counting Crows.

"When everybody loves you, you'll never be lonely" - Mr. Jones - Casting Crows. This song is about how a person believes fame can make you happy, but he individual being sung about doesn't realize that it doesn't last. So relate this to focus on being the best you, and on what makes you happy throughout your entire life, and don't just work to have a few moments of glory that will ultimately fade.

11. My Name Is - Eminem.

Now this one is just in here for fun, because at some point during your college career, you'll get a little crazy, and want to jam out to some older Eminem to make yourself seem less crazy.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Sister | Brother Style - Word Press

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
