1. Strong Female Characters.
Women are seen in high power positions, exhibiting great leadership and are just as capable if not more as men. While powerful, the show does not need to erase any female character's emotional reserves in order to showcase their strength.
2. Clarke and Lexa (Clexa).
Not only is Clarke a starring bisexual female in leadership of her people, but Lexa is, too. This means that they are both strong and respected. Their storyline is an important and powerful one.
3. The Grounders.
The grounders are a bit like "The Others" in Lost. They are extremely strong and terrifying, but you'll learn to love them anyway.

10. You will never be bored.
11. You will root for all characters.
Even the villains keep things interesting. Sometimes, it's hard to distinguish who is truly evil.

Clarke is the main character, but there have been episodes she has not even appeared in. You will get to know each and every character's personality and story.

14. No one is safe.
15. Character deaths mean something.
While heartbreaking, the writers don't kill characters for the sake of killing. They always make the deaths mean something.

An enemy that even the grounders fear.
18. People and motives always change.
19. Abby Griffin.
20. Their world lacks heteronormativity.
“Sexual orientation fits in the same place that gender identity and racial identity fits within the world of our show. The characters in the show are not concerned with those things. They are only concerned with whether they are going to live and die… Nobody ever classifies anybody, as in, ‘She’s a woman leader,’ or, ‘He’s a gay soldier.’ It’s just not in our show’s vocabulary.”
21. The first few episodes take place in outer space.
Which is kind of awesome.

The show values friendships and familial relationships as much, if not more than romantic relationships. Clarke and her mother Abby, Wells and his father, Octavia and Blake, are only several of prominent relationship this show exhibits with promising storylines and character development.
31. Parallels to history.
"Season Two’s massacre on the Grounder vVllage is reminiscent of the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War. Additionally, the scientific experiments unwillingly conducted on the 47 Arkers and the captured Grounders inside Mount Weather is eerily similar to how prisoners were treated in concentration camps by the Germans during World War II." - TV.com
32. The struggle of morality.
33. Self sacrifice.
Practically every individual is ready to sacrifice their life for their people. The only time individuals give in when being tortured is if it is to protect a loved one that is being threatened.
34. An entirely new language and world.
The grounders have created their own language, have their own cultural beliefs, customs and way of dressing. The earth is like nothing we have ever seen before. There are deer with two heads, neon blue butterflies and dangerous animals swimming in lakes.
35. It is aesthetically pleasing.
The graphics and world shown are absolutely beautiful.

You will laugh, cry and feel afraid for characters all in one episode.37. You will become obsessed.
Once you get passed the fifth episode marker, there is no going back.
38. It is fast paced.
Some complain that the show is too congested, however I personally love how fast paced it is. There will not be any unnecessary conversation or scene that hinders the progression of the plot.
39. Everyone has a backstory.
Everybody on Earth has either claimed a position of leadership or is simply a part of sky crew. You will learn who was privileged, who was punished, and what happened to the families of the 100 early on.

The cast appears to be very close on social media and always makes sure to respond to fans on Twitter.

47. It is different.
48. Diversity.
