1. KickThePj (PJ Liguori)
Characters, short films, comedy, vlogs, music.
Creator of the new Vimeo series "Oscar's Hotel" (featuring creatures from the Jim Henson Company and the voice of Patrick Stewart), PJ is an extraordinarily creative filmmaker, artist, musician and comedian. His YouTube channel consists of kooky characters, wild adventures on made-up planets and the occasional ukulele song about breakfast.
2. AmandasChronicles
Comedy, vlogs.
Amanda is a new discovery of mine, and I was hooked from the moment I watched her lather herself in a bathtub of spaghetti accompanied by her own version of Eminem's "Lose Yourself." Or was it the time she dyed her leg hair purple?
3. MyHarto (Hannah Hart)
Comedy, cooking, vlogs.
Hannah Hart is a national treasure. In addition to her weekly show "My Drunk Kitchen" (in which she has a lot to drink and hilariously attempts to cook), her vlogs range from funny to inspirational, and include just too many cheesy puns to justify missing out on.
4. devinsupertramp (Devin Graham)
Adventures, extreme sports.
This channel makes you want to grab all your friends and go bungee jumping. If it’s fun and/or very dangerous, you name it, the Supertramp crew has caught it on camera.
5. vlogbrothers (Hank & John Green)
Vlogs, comedy, science, ideas, current events.
Hosted by brothers Hank and John Green (you know him as author of "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Paper Towns"), this channel educates as much as it entertains, sharing meaningful insights on the world and all the fun science lessons you wish you had been taught in high school.
6. mytoecold (Drew Monson)
Comedy, vlogs.
Drew Monson: Little Caesar’s pizza connoisseur and quite possibly the funniest vlogger on YouTube. His channel is the one I sit down with at the end of a hard day to laugh at uncontrollably and forget why I was ever having a hard day in the first place.
7. Tricia Miranda
Dance.
Prepare to be obsessed with this woman’s choreography. Based in a Hollywood studio of incredibly talented dancers and joined by professional videographer Tim Milgram, Tricia Miranda produces the kind of hip-hop numbers that make you wish "Cupid Shuffle" wasn’t the only dance you could pull off.
8. AsapSCIENCE (Mitchell Moffit & Gregory Brown)
Science.
Canadian couple Mitch and Greg are the kind of science geeks you want to hang out with. They have explanations for how much pot it would take to kill you, why bacon is so tasty, the science of dogs and everything in between.
9. Troye Sivan
Music, vlogs.
Troye is an adorable Australian vlogger and up-and-coming singer who just released a fantastic (not to mention chart-topping) new EP, "Wild." Last year he was named one of Time’s 25 Most Influential Teens of 2014.
10. danisnotonfire (Dan Howell) / AmazingPhil (Phil Lester)
Comedy, vlogs, gaming.
These British YouTubers and roommates offer relatable insight on Internet culture and social awkwardness in their vlog-style videos, often collaborating on each other’s channels with popular challenges and tags. They host an award-winning show on BBC Radio 1 and recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of their new gaming channel, "DanAndPhilGames."
