Life can be crazy and stressful sometimes, so it's important to make time to relax and treat yourself occasionally. We all deserve a break or reward every now and then, and guess what — it doesn't even have to cost you a thing! Whether you're trying to save money or eat healthier, here are a few things you can do to "treat yo' self" that don't involve buying a new outfit or binging on Ben & Jerry's.
1. Take a nap.
I used to think naps were pointless, but college has definitely made me rethink them. I often find that a quick power nap helps me feel less stressed, think clearer, and feel more motivated to get work done.
2. Go for a bike ride.
This is one of my favorite things to do when the weather gets warmer. Whether you go solo or with a friend, an easy bike ride through a park, woods, or by the water is a fun way to get exercise and simply enjoy the scenery around you. Nature is an excellent stress reliever.3. Give yourself a mani/pedi.
Instead of paying about $15 to $30 at a salon, try painting your nails at home. It looks just as good and it's fun too!4. Take time to do your hair and makeup.
You don't have to be a beauty guru to get all dolled up. There are tons of beauty YouTube videos you can watch, or you can just experiment on your own. Taking the time to enhance your natural beauty can make you feel a lot more confident and it can be really fun too!
