10 Ways To Know If You And Your Roommate Are "Roommate Goals"
Courtney Nicole MacDougall

Recently my roommate and I have had people call us "Roommate Goals" and we had no idea what that meant! We thought we were just regular roommates, but then we noticed that we are a little different. We have friends that are just sort of acquaintances with their roommates, but we are the exact opposite. My roommate and I are best friends and now are embracing the term "Roommate Goals"! Here are 10 ways to know if you and your roommate are "Roommate Goals"!

1.They know all of the boys you’re crushing on.

They know about every encounter that you have had with this certain guy and could probably tell the story backwards because of the amount of times they have heard it. Then whenever your crush walks by they give you not so discrete facial expressions. You guys basically know every detail of each other's love lives.

2. Your clothes are their clothes and vice versa.

There is this unwritten rule that if it fits, then you can wear it (of course you need their opinion about if it matches though). Fortunately you both have the same sense of style to you can mix and match each others clothes.

3.They know exactly how to cheer you up.

They know exactly what you need to hear and when you need to hear it. They are your support system and without them you would be emotionally unstable.

4. You guys have an obnoxious amount of inside jokes.

The amount of times you both have laughed over things that are not funny is insane. Both of you can make jokes out of anything and only you two understand them. Also, your Twitter feed is just sending inside jokes back and forth from one another.

5. You guys have a legit bucket list.

You both have created a legit bucket list that is hanging up in your dorm room. Things on the bucket list include; first kisses, going to Skyzone together, pitching a tent on the quad and of course getting dates to the winter semi-formal.

6. Your Snapchat stories are basically the same.

People who are friends with both of you on Snapchat basically watch the same story, just from a different angle. Sometimes you even plan out your Snapchats to make it seem like your lives are much more interesting than they actually are. Most snapchats include you guys lip syncing to music in the car. You've probably even made them reenact a funny moment that you just barely missed.

7. Movie night is taken very seriously.

When a roommate movie night is planned, canceling is not an option, even though you know you'll just end up re-watching "She’s The Man," "A Cinderella Story" or "The Notebook." Thankfully, you guys ordered Domino's and bought boxes of tissues to help with the emotions.

8. You are basically never seen apart from each other.

It is very uncommon to be apart from each other, and when you are people ask where your other half is. You always get meals together and even go to the bathroom at the same time. You feel incomplete without your roommate. Every time you see them, it feels like years have past.

9. You both invest in cute room décor.

Having a cute dorm door is a must. You both spend an insane amount of money on cute decor to put up around the room. You room is filled with posters, photographs hung by rope and twinkly lights. Having someone walk into your dorm room and say “dorm room goals” is actually goals.

10.They bring out the best in you.

They bring out all the best parts of you. You equal each other out, and they make you want to be a better person. (And you'll probably be in each other's weddings.)

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
