If you are like me and you were born between 1990 and 1999, chances are you grew up with a whole different Disney Channel and Nickelodeon than what we see on T.V. now. You know, back when Disney had their stars hold the cool colored wands and say “Hi, I’m Hannah Montana and you’re watching Disney Channel” while they drew the Disney logo? Those childhood shows meant something, so here is a list of 10 I think should be brought back.

1. That’s So Raven

This was a show focused on teenager Raven Baxter who could see the future. Raven loved fashion and design and every episode let us into her crazy world with all the misadventures she and her friends experienced due to her ability to see the future.

2. The Proud Family

The Proud Family followed 14-year-old Penny Proud as she navigated being a teenager and finding herself. Along with Penny, we met her crazy friends and even more crazy family members. We learned different life lessons while being insanely amused.

3. Kim Possible

Kim was the not-so-average high school cheerleader who fought baddies on the side. Accompanied by her friend Ron Stoppable and a naked mole rat, she went on the most extreme adventures and fought some of the coolest bad guys. Plus, who can forget that song her beeper made? Oh and “Call me, beep me.”

4. Rugrats

This show let you see the world from the point of view of a baby. If there was anything that made you want to be a baby again, it was this show. Other than the babies, the not so perfect parents and older girl Angelica, this show was one for the books.

5. Hey Arnold

This one entertained us with a kid whose head was shaped like a football and we all thought he was wearing a skirt until way later in our lives. We followed him along with his friends as they tried to find solutions to each other’s life predicaments.

6. Recess

Recess was the best part of our elementary school day. Oh, and it was the name of a show that followed a group of friends in the fourth grade who were determined to protect the kids of the playground from the fifth graders rules.

7. Brandy and Mr. Whiskers

This one was a little bit different that most of the shows on this list. This show was about a dog and a rabbit that were abandoned in the Amazon and had to learn to deal with each other and their weird habits while still navigating the forest and its loud animals.

8. The Replacements

This is about a pair of orphaned siblings who answer an ad for “replacement people” and order new parents, a spy for a mom and a daredevil for a dad. They go on many absurd adventures with their new parents and replace anyone in their lives that they do not like.

9. Phil of the Future

This Disney classic allowed us to keep up with a family from the future (circa 2121) as they took a vacation via time machine but ended up stuck in 2004. The family is forced to fake their lives as a normal suburban family despite their obvious differences.

10. Hannah Montana

Hannah Montana was probably one of the most popular shows on Disney channel at the time. We watched young Miley Cyrus as well as her two best friends and family members on their wacky antics day by day. We knew her secret life as Hannah Montana while her friends did not and everyday was a battle of making sure people did not know her secret.

We all miss them and I am sure that there are quite a few that I missed but you must agree that we need these shows back!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
