1.) Drink more water.
You may hear this a lot, but drinking water benefits you in so many ways. If you’re one of those people who has to have a little flavor, slice up a lemon and throw it on in! Lemon water can do great things for the inside and outside of your body!
2) Use a planner.
Using a planner will you make you so much more productive. Let’s face it, using multi-colored pens and highlighters is a lot of fun and you know it, and sticky notes aren’t always so reliable when they get lost in your backpack. It’ll feel so great to cross off all of the things you’ve done too!
3) Get yo' workout on!
Everyone knows it’s the realest struggle trying to keep a workout plan, especially in college. The walk from your dorm to the gym is just half a mile too far, so you end up binge watching New Girl. But let’s face it, showing off your poppin’ booty to your ex is way more satisfying.
4) “Treat yo' self!”
Even if you are trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle, you have to reward yourself. Anything in moderation is fine. In the end, no one is going to care if you ate the last donut or had two slices of pizza. Indulge. So, the next time the chef in the dining hall tries to make you take all 17 cookies off of the tray, go for it. You deserve it.
5) Read more.
I know it sounds sort of cliche, but getting caught up in a great book is the best feeling, and some say it makes you smarter. Whatever you’re into, go find a book about it and dive in. If you’re looking for a feel good book that will make you rotflshmsfo (Rolling On The Floor Laughing So Hard My Sombrero Fell Off, ya know casual) read BINGE by Tyler Oakley. Seriously, you will not regret it, go now, get it. Right now. Okay? Okay.
6) Stop holding grudges.
Being mad at someone and holding a grudge drains your body and your mind of so much energy. Take that energy and put it towards something positive. Meditation or even journaling is a good way to get all of those negative thoughts out of your mind. When you finally make peace with whoever or whatever you're holding a grudge against, you’ll feel like a million bricks have been lifted off your shoulders.
7) Join a club, or start one.
Maybe you’re looking for a way to meet new people and make new relationships, join a club! If your school doesn't have any clubs that attract you or your interests, start one yourself! Perhaps you like animals, join or start a club that helps to raise awareness for endangered species and animals in shelters. A club with a cause is the way to go.
8) Make yourself new music playlists.
Music is so therapeutic, making yourself a playlist of your new favorite songs is so fun. Anywhere you go, just pop your headphones in and close your eyes and imagine dancing on a stage with no one watching. It’s a great feeling, even when you know when you open your eyes that five page essay you haven't started is still going to be in front of you.
9) Take a road trip with friends.
Stop thinking about it and just do it! Life is so much more fun when the things that you do are spontaneous. Road trips are spontaneous because you can just pick a place on the map and go. Riding down the highway, blasting some T. Swift, and awaiting your next destination sounds amazing, doesn’t it?
10) Learn to love yourself more.
It’s probably annoying to hear, but think about it, do you really love yourself like you should? Stop picking out every insecurity you have and start embracing them as the unique parts about you. Let go of every fear you have about not being good enough or society not excepting you for you. Like Taylor says “Haters gonna hate.” So let them hate, and keep doin’ you. Being confident with you are is such an awesome feeling. So, fall head over heels in love with yourself and don’t hold back one bit.
