10 Times Michael Scott Was Every College Student's Spiritual Animal

"Sometimes I start a sentence, and I don't even know where it's going. I just hope I find it along the way."

10 Times Michael Scott Was Every College Student's Spiritual Animal

The days of syllabus week have long since passed, the spines of textbooks have been cracked and opened and the residential halls reek of caffeine and adolescent desparation. Welcome to college, kids--shit has gotten real.

Thankfully, we all have one savior, one guiding light we can turn to in times of crisis and turmoil, one man who can lift our spirits with their determination and quest for success.

What man, may that be?

Michael Scott, that's who.

Because, believe it or not, here are the ten instances where Michael Scott and his antics were comedic, cringeworthy and #collegeaf.

1. When you look at your Bursar bill and see how much tuition costs this semester.

2. When you look at a class syllabus for the first time of the semester.

3. When your professor or TA's instructions for an essay or project are as vague as physically possible.

4. When it's 11:40 p.m. on a Friday night and you remember you have an assignment due by midnight.

5. When you're walking across the street to get to class and there's that one asshole that nearly runs you over.

6. When you're at a frat party and they start playing early 2000s Top 40 songs.

7. Communal bathrooms. They are just as bad, if not worse, than you'd imagined.

8. Getting up for an 8 am. Freshmen, hear me out--you will NOT be able to handle a college 8 am class just because your high school ones started at the same time.

9. When class is ending in roughly twelve seconds and your professor says, "Don't pack up yet."

10. When you pass all your final exams and papers and slay the semester like nobody's business.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
