There is not doubt that the process of recruitment is a rather stressful yet exciting part of sorority life. But welcoming new members to the sisterhood makes the hassle all worth it. Here are to the good and the bad of sorority recruitment as told by "FRIENDS".

1. The feeling you get on the first day of rush week when you're about to meet the PNMs.

2. The never-ending crafting for room decorations.

3. The stress of having to get everyone in the same place and in sequence for recruitment pictures and videos.

4. The task of debating which PNMs get a bid.

5. Awkwardly introducing yourself to one another.

6. Convincing the sisters that you're the perfect fit.

7. Rehearsing your routine for the opening night.

8. When your favorite PNM gets a bid.

9. The feeling you get when your new members run home.

10. The feeling of accomplishment when you pull off another successful recruitment.

Though the process of recruitment may sometimes seem like hell on Earth there is no better feeling than being surrounded by your sisters old and new.

Here's to blistered feet, lack of sleep and amazing new sisters at the end of the week!

Wishing all a happy and successful upcoming Fall recruitment!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
