Everyone knows of, or has at least heard of Sophia Bush (well, I would hope everyone because if not you are seriously missing out). She was introduced to us as Brooke Davis, on the CW hit "One Tree Hill." Within the last three years she has once again been gracing our television screens every Wednesday night as Detective Erin Lindsay on "Chicago PD," a completely different character than the multi-million fashion designer she played on "One Tree Hill."
Brooke Davis has gotten a lot of love over the years, known for her kindness, loyalty, and strength. However, I think that Erin Lindsay is all of those things, plus she is a total bad ass. Erin Lindsay is a totally underrated character played by Sophia Bush who does not get enough recognition. "Chicago PD" is only halfway through its 3rd season. Maybe it is because the show is in it's early seasons and has not yet reached the audience that "One Tree Hill" has thanks to Netflix and it's nine seasons.
Here are 10 times that Erin Lindsay proved she was equally as awesome as Brooke Davis:
1. When she made it known that she drives.
Jay... and Voight are not allowed to drive. With this one exception of course.
2. Her sarcastic declaration after Jay defends her.
Because clearly she doesn't need saving. Especially from a random guy on the street.
3. This statement.
She is always reminding everyone that she is not ever to be messed with.
4. Every time she stands up to Voight.
Even hardened criminals are afraid of of him, but she never hesitates to speak her mind.
5. When she volunteers to save Jay.
A twist on the 'damsel in distress' routine. Even Halstead was grateful she was the one they sent in.
6. Because she understands you.
Sometimes it's just one of those days, Erin Lindsay knows that too well.
7. Whenever she asserts her authority as a cop.
She makes criminals two times her size shake with fear.
8. Choosing Jay despite Voight's rules.
The heart wants what it wants, right? Not even her borderline scary boss/almost-adoptive-father can stop her from going after what she wants.
9. Her relationship with Nadia.
It started off as paying it forward for Voight and turned into real friendship. One that devastated Erin when it ended.
10. Her compassion for the victims.
She's a bad ass cop and a strong feminist, but that does not stop her from showing her affectionate side when it is needed.
She is definitely a character to watch and admire. Plus she is played by Sophia Bush which makes her even more awesome than she already was.
