10 Throwback Songs

Music evolves with time, just like everything else. Some of us do not like the evolution of certain types of music. We tend to think, "The music from when I was growing up is much better than the music now." This list of songs from the early 2000s will have you remembering the good old times in elementary and middle school.

1. Say My Name- Destiny's child

Although this song is 16 years old, I can guarantee you can sing it word for word.

2. Get Low- Lil Jon and The East Side Boyz

This is one of those songs that must be played at parties. "To the windoooow, to the wall to the wall"

3. Let Me Love You- Mario

This is one of those songs that any girl would like their boyfriend to dedicate to them back in 2005!

4. Drop It Like It's Hot- Snoop Dog

Definitely one of Snoop Dog's classics. No matter how much time passes, this song will never get old because of how catchy it is.

5. Crazy In Love- Beyoncé

Besides the fact that this is a great song, this song is played in the scene of the movie 'White Chicks' during the dance battle.

6. Work it- Missy Elliot

All I have to say is "Is it worth it, let me work it." I bet you sang the rest in your head!

7. In Da Club- 50 Cent

"Go shawty it's your birthday" one of 50 Cent's best songs that you must play on your birthday.

8. The Real Slim Shady- Eminem

If you're the real slim shady, please stand up!

9. It Wasn't Me- Shaggy

Besides being a catchy song, it is very humorous. It wasn't me!

10. Suga Suga- Baby Bash

Baby Bash was a lot of young girls crush! And this is one of Baby Bash's most well known song.

I hope this list took you back a couple years maybe even a decade back! If you do not like the evolution of today's music, listen to some throwback songs! It does not have to be Thursday for you to do so.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
