Do you remember Spring Break? It was just last week. Seven days of doing nothing. Seven days of sleeping in. Seven days of eating junk food and drinking beer. Those were the good days. Homework didn’t matter and tests did not exist. All that mattered were the friends you were with and the good time you were having. Unfortunately, Spring Break is over and getting back to reality is hard. You are sitting in your 8:00 a.m. thinking about the great time you had and wishing you could go back.
Here are the ten thoughts you have after Spring Break:
1. Do I still remember what I learned in class before the break?
We all have those professors who start a new lesson right before a break. After being away from school for seven days, it is very easy to forget what your professor taught you.
2. I think I will just stay in bed today.
Doing absolutely nothing for seven days can be exhausting, so now you need a couple of days to recover.
3. Wait, do I really have to go back to school?
Is this a joke? Spring break should be two weeks. I think I will just skip class today.
4. Are people even noticing my tan?
You didn’t just sit out in the sun for seven days for no one to notice that you are at least five shades darker.
5. I should probably go back to dieting.
You dieted for two months before the break, but you gained everything back from all the junk food and the alcohol. So, now you have to start over.
6. Where is the beach?
It seems like something is missing. You are used to waking up to the sound of beach waves, but this morning you heard your alarm and you are confused.
7. I think I forgot how to take notes.
You better hope you didn’t.
8. I need coffee... now!
This is your fuel for the next couple of days, while you recover from the last seven days.
9. I can’t stop thinking about last week.
It’s going to be on your mind for a while.
10. You start counting down for summer.
It can be hard getting back to reality after being on Spring Break. You had a lot of fun and wished the break was longer. Unfortunately, you have to go back to school, but don't worry because summer will be here before you know it.
