We all were there at the start.. "What do we write about?" Maybe you had some great ideas that you weren't sure of. Maybe you had no clue what to write about. Maybe you just didn't want to start. We all started somewhere. I am sure you all made it through and I know that this will be the best journey for all the writers out there!,
1. “This is going to be so fun!”
We all felt giddy and excited like a kid in a candy shop getting to write for our favorite blog site.
2. “What should I write about?”
And then we had to start brainstorming for our first article.
3. “I can’t think of anything.”
And then it hit us that thinking of a great article was really hard.
4. “A little social media hurt no one.”
So we turned to every social media site possible to procrastinate brainstorming and writing.
5. “When is this due?”
And like the final weeks of the semester, we realized that our first article had a deadline we needed to meet.
6. “I am never going to finish..”
And then we freaked out having nothing written down -- not even a single letter.
7. “Why did I get myself into this?”
We all thought about quitting.
8. “Seriously, why?”
We really thought about quitting. We even thought of some excuses why we wouldn’t be able to do this.
9. “I can do this!”
And then we sat down and started writing.
10. “Wow.. That wasn’t so bad.”
Once you finished your first article you felt like a million dollars. On to the next one!
Be proud of your first article, I know I am. Once you end up writing 100 of these, you can look back and compare your articles to your first. Be proud that you have the opportunity through your school, and all of the amazing writers, to be able to express your opinions on anything and everything. For me, I have been reading the Odyssey for a long time and truly praise it, now I get to be one of the lucky ones who writes for them! I can’t wait for many more of my articles to be shared with all of you!
